A Moment to Cherish(kuroko no basket x OC)

Chapter 5: Something Strange

All the players were in their positions. Kaijo has the ball. Akane looks at Kuroko and Kagami and they all nod at each other. As one of the players dribble the ball towards the net kuroko slaps the ball away from him towards akane and before he knew it she makes a three pointer. Their eyes widened and game continued on with Kagami and Kuroko continuously passing the ball towards akane. Kise starts to sweat,"So now shes getting serious." he thinks to himself. That was when something strange happens. Kise's speed suddenly picks up and he manage to steal the ball from Akane. She smirks,"So now you show your true colors."

After Kise scores his eyes widened and a sweat dropped. What he saw was frightening. He saw Akane's eyes become more intense and her right eye spark and glow. Her and his teammates all notice this. "I guess it's time for me to get serious now." She says in a serious tone. Riko's couldn't believe what she was seeing also. "this can't be. her speed just went up." the Seirin basketball team look at her. "Wait what do you mean?" Hyuga asks confused."I mean her speed is greater than before." They all looked at her then at Akane.

Now Kise had the ball but before he could even notice the ball was gone Akane had already made a dunk. They were all baffled at the speed, they couldn't believe a girl like her can even do that. It continued on and it was a tie. Akane passes the ball to Kagami. Kise runs after it and hit Kuroko by accident and made him bleed.

They had to stop the game so they could treat his wound. The game either way continued on after that and they had to sub him. Akane found this as a chance to see what kagami can do on his own without Kuroko and to also make sure Kuroko is okay.

When Kuroko got up he requested to go back in and Riko hesitantly let him. She also looked at Akane to signal her to go back in too. "Riko I don't think I should. I already done my part I should at least let them." "Wait why now?" "Because I have a feeling something good will happen."

And sure enough Akane was right. Kuroko and Kagami won the game by doing an alley-oop. Everyone cheered and Kise started to cry from the loss. Akane sighed and walked over to him after hearing Kasamatsu say something to help him stop crying.

She pat him on the back. Kise was surprised to see Akane do such an act. "You did good Kise. I can't believe you were actually able to make me use it. Keep it up and if you think you're confident enough call me and we can have a one on one match together, okay." She smiles at him. He and his teammates all blush at the sight. then she turns away to walk back to her teammates. When Kise turned around all his teammates were giving him death glares."Why do you always get the girl?"

After Kuroko comes out the hospital everyone sighs in relief at the news that he was okay. Seeing how they were all hungry they all checked if they had enough for a meal but ended up not having enough. Kagami elbowed Akane to get her attention,seeing how as always is listening to music. "Hey, Akane do you have any change on you?" he asks. "No, didn't think we would need it." She responds while blowing a bubble.

While they walked away in defeat Riko noticed a truck that says free steak on it. Her face lit up and stopped everyone.

They all had huge steaks in front of them."what are you waiting for eat up." She says happily. "don't you think this is a bit much." Hyuga says while looking at the huge steak. "Hey it's a free meal. and why do you think I make you run so much." "for basketball." they all think in unison.

While they were eating Kuroko said he was giving up after he wiped his mouth. They all looked at him shocked and turned to Akane to see what progress she made. To their surprise she was half way through while listening to her music. Hyuga got her attention and she took off her ear plugs."How are you able to eat so much." "Well I guess I'm use to this." "HOW?!" they all yell. "Hm... I guess back in America my dad didn't want me to become a slacker so he made run 10 to 20 miles a day." "Did you say A DAY?" Koganei exclaims. "yes and continuing. It resulted for me to consume more food everyday. He and my mom got tired of going grocery shopping every day and spending so much money that they signed me up for a lot of eating contests. Just for a free meal."

While Kagami was eating all the other steaks that weren't finished Kuroko went out for some fresh air.

When they were all out they noticed that Kuroko wasn't in his usual spot. So they all went looking for him. Akane and Kagami were paired up to look for him. When they found where they were Kagami walked towards them while Akane noticed some a group of menacing looking people were walking towards the court where some other guys were playing.

Akane noticed that they weren't playing fairly and walked over to them. When one of them was stepping on one the guys that they were playing against Akane blew a bubble and popped it loudly. They noticed her and the guy who was stepping on the other walked over to him."Hey girl, this isn't a place for you to be." She didn't respond he got a bit annoyed."Hey are you listening?" When he noticed her ear bud he pulled them out of her ears."Can you hear me now."

A vein popped on her head. "what's wrong are you angry now." He stretched his hand to pat her on the head when suddenly she ducked and kicked him where was standing. She put her foot onto his stomach as he fell onto his back. "What the hell was that for." Akane says angrily. When she was about to stomp on him Kuroko put his hand on her shoulder."Akane remember the last time you did this." Akane sighs and steps off the guy."Fine how about you play against us instead of them." Akane says still angry at the fact the guy pulled her ear plugs off. They all laughed,"fine then let's settle it with a game of basketball."

As soon as he said that kagami and Kise came to their side. "Five on three how about that." Kagami says while putting his hand on Kuroko and Akane's head. "What did you say?!" Then Akane took off her sunglasses,"Shall we start then."

It was obvious that in the end they would win and destroy them. The guys from before all marveled at the four on how they destroyed them.

"You idiot what were you thinking?!" Kagami yells at Akane."And you too Kuroko. You know what could have happened if we weren't there" "Well I would have been fine since Akane was there but they would have destroyed me if she wasn't. Look at these guns." Kuroko flexes his right arm.

Akane bent over trying to keep herself from laughing too hard.As Kagami yelled at Kuroko, Kise grins and pulls his jacket over his should. "It was nice playing with you guys again." As he walks he suddenly stops. "Don't think i forgot about my revenge, Kagamicchi." "Kagamicchi?!" "He puts -cchi at the ends of people's names that he acknowledges." Kuroko explains. "Still can't believe he still does that." Akane says while pinching the bridge of her nose.

When Kise finally left Riko soon came running towards Kuroko and put him in a boston crab hold. "Akane, Kagami- kun save...save me." Kuroko pleads. "Sorry Kuroko you're on your own." Akane yells while walking.
