Sorscha's pov:

It's a month since Quinn was born. Clodagh and I have started to allow more people to meet her and hold her. Clodagh had work, and Quinn was down for a nap. Today I left early as we only had half day children which means I went home at 1pm. I had nothing better to do than sit on the couch and scroll on Facebook. A post popped up by a familiar name. "Maddie Howard" posted it. I thought to my self. A few seconds I catch my train of thought. Madison! She left the Nursery in January. We called her Madison so I didn't recognize the name. I don't think she knows Quinn was born. I decided to message her. We were pretty good work friends, we hung out here and there out of work but we were both kind of busy. We became friends after realizing we were the only two lesbians in the entire nursery at the time. Actually, I think we were the only two people even under the umbrella. We kept in touch after she left, but we haven't talked much since Quinn was born.

Hey! It's Sorscha!

Sorscha! Hey! It's been a while! How've you been?

Grand! I've been grand! Have you come across any of my recent posts?

Sorry, i haven't, I don't use Facebook much, here and there maybe.

Well, I know last time we talked, was a while ago, I want to see if you want to go for coffee? You can bring Katrina if you want! I'm going to see if Clodagh wants to come.

I'm home for a couple weeks so yeah! When do you want to meet up?

So we made plans to meet up at a local cafe. Clodagh was going to come with, and Madison said Katrina would come.

Madison's Pov:

"Hun! You almost ready, we're going to be late!" i hear my wife, Katrina, call out.

"Yeah, just let me finish my hair!" I quickly finish my half up, half down style and meet my wife in the living room. Since I travel a lot, we decided to move into an apartment. It's just us and our cat, Socks—A Japanese bobtail— a one bedroom apartment was plenty of space for the two of us.

We walk down to the car, it took about 30 minutes to get to the cafe. As we enter the cafe, we see the couple in the back, walking back, they get up so they can greet up.

"Hey Sorscha! It's been a while." She responds in agreement. We give eachother a quick hug, "Sorscha, this is my wife Katrina, Katrina this is Sorscha and her wife Clodagh."

"Hiya! Great to meet you! I've heard so much about you!" Sorscha puts her hand out and Katrina shakes hers and then clodaghs.

We all sit down and start to chat. I didn't even realize what they had with them. A black stroller. I look at it, my eyebrows furrow as I look back up at the couple.

"Ah right!" I see her whisper something to Clodagh. The brunette picks the baby up out if the stroller and holds her. Showing her to me. "This is Quinn Autumn Doyle, she's only a couple months old. She was born on the 18th of June. This is actually why I wanted to meet up. To allow you to meet her." My eyes widened, my mouth curved into a smile.

"Oh my goodness! She had the baby!" I say as I place my hand on my chest. "She's adorable. Congratulations you two! Can I hold her?"

"Thank you! And of course!" Clodagh carefully hands her over the table to me. I hold her and look at her. "She's just the sweetest. Honestly guys congratulations."

"Thank you Madison! And I know, she really is." Sorscha replies

"Do you think you're going to send her to nursery?" My wife asks the two. While looking over the menu.

"I don't really know quite yet. I don't want to send her to nursery until she's a little older. I trust the staff but I just don't want her to get sick. Maybe we'll do half days when I work from home or have her go full days, the days I have to go to work in person. I don't know quite yet. I'm just very anxious about diseases as stuff." Clodagh explains. I bounce Quinn in my arms as she talks. Having a small group of people around a baby is way different than a group of small children who can only do so much to prevent spreading illness.

"Yeah, we want to aim for a year before we send her off to nursery, luckily Clodagh can work at home even after her maternity leave ends. But we are aiming for a year." Sorscha adds onto her wife's explanation.

I nod at their explanations. "I completely understand that. You know, you just want them to be safe. Speaking of which, she seems to be getting fussy, do you want her back?"

"That's probably best, she's probably hungry." I hand her carefully back to Clodagh who gently takes her in her arms, "hey babe, can you get her bottle prepared?" I watch Sorscha nod and start preparing the bottle. We are all chatting as they feed Quinn. It's nice to catch up again. After leaving in January, I kept them all on social media but I didn't keep in contact with most. Sorscha was the only one I kept in contact with really. It's nice to reconnect. Quinn is absolutely adorable. Plus, Katrina seems to be getting along well with Clodagh. We live an hour apart but maybe the 30 minutes to meet in the middle isn't a bad idea. I'd love to catch up with everyone else. See how Charlotte, Marjorie, Autumn, and Winter see how they all are. Perhaps I'll meet the manager of the sister nursery, I left before Siobhan did so I wonder who took over.
