Chapter 10: Restless Night and Unspoken Worries

The past three days with BTS had been a whirlwind for Y/N. Slowly but surely, she had begun to feel more at ease around the members. Their kindness and warmth were helping her relax in ways she hadn't expected. But as the end of their stay at the hotel approached, she couldn't shake the familiar anxiety that crept in whenever she was alone.

That night, as Y/N packed her luggage for their flight to Incheon the next day, she tried to keep herself busy, hoping the distraction would keep her mind from wandering to darker places. But when it was time for bed, the stillness of the night brought back the familiar restlessness. She lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling, unable to sleep. The memories of her nightmares loomed over her, and she could feel the panic bubbling just beneath the surface.

Normally, she would take sleeping pills to keep the nightmares at bay, but tonight, she couldn't bring herself to do it. She didn't want the BTS members to find out about her struggles. The fear of appearing weak in front of them was too much to bear.

The night dragged on painfully slow. Y/N tossed and turned, her mind racing with thoughts she couldn't quiet. Eventually, exhaustion took over, and she drifted off into a restless sleep. But it wasn't long before she jolted awake, panting and drenched in sweat. Her heart was pounding, and she felt a cold fear gripping her chest.

She took deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. The morning had finally arrived, and she knew she had to get up and face the day. But as she looked at herself in the mirror, she saw how drained and dull she appeared. Dark circles under her eyes, a pale complexion, and a weariness that she couldn't hide. She felt completely off, but she knew she had to push through it. She couldn't let them see her like this.

A sudden knock on the door made her flinch, pulling her out of her thoughts. She quickly composed herself and opened the door to find Jungkook standing there, fully ready to check out.

When Jungkook saw her, his expression immediately shifted to one of concern. "Are you okay, Y/N? You're looking a bit low today," he asked, his voice gentle.

Y/N forced a smile, trying to brush off his concern. "I'm fine, really. Just a bit tired, that's all."

But Jungkook wasn't convinced. "Why are you here?" she asked quickly, trying to change the subject.

Jungkook blinked, momentarily thrown off by the sudden shift in conversation. "Oh, right. I almost forgot—hyung is calling you. We're all ready to check out."

Y/N nodded and followed him down the hall to the lobby, where the rest of the BTS members were waiting. As soon as they saw her, their expressions mirrored Jungkook's earlier concern. They could see that something was off, but they didn't want to pry, respecting her privacy.

When the group gathered around to ask Jungkook what had happened, he could only shake his head. He didn't have an answer for them, and they all sighed, exchanging worried glances. But there wasn't much time to dwell on it—they had a flight to catch.

The group checked out of the hotel, and the manager handed them their paperwork. They made their way to their respective cars, with Y/N and Jungkook sharing a ride once again. The atmosphere was subdued as they drove to the airport, the usual chatter replaced with a quiet tension.

As they traveled the familiar route to the airport, Y/N couldn't help but feel the weight of her exhaustion. The sleepless night and the stress of trying to hide her struggles were taking their toll. She sat in silence, staring out of the window, her thoughts a jumble of emotions she couldn't quite sort out.

Jungkook glanced at her occasionally, his concern growing with every glance. He wanted to ask her what was wrong, but he didn't want to push her. Instead, he reached out and gently placed his hand on her shoulder, offering silent support.

Y/N flinched slightly at the contact but then relaxed, taking comfort in his presence. She gave him a small, grateful smile, and though it didn't erase the worry in his eyes, he nodded, understanding that this was all she could give right now.

The rest of the drive to the airport was quiet, but it was a comforting silence, filled with unspoken understanding. Y/N knew she wasn't alone, even if she still couldn't bring herself to share her burdens. And as they neared the airport, she found a small sense of peace in that thought. Maybe, just maybe, things would get better from here.
