*2 months later (October)

Me and Aaliyah have grown closer since she told me she was pregnant. She's Kind of my only friend. After Malcolm stopped talking to me so did everyone else. Except for Tony he's been really nice. Aaliyah says he has a crush on me but I don't know.

I'm currently over Aaliyah's house. Surprisingly her parents took the baby news okay, everyone's excited but Liyah's Just thinking about college and how she's going to provide for the baby.

"Hey your birthday's coming up what you got planned?" Aaliyah asked me.

"Oh probably nothing. I don't have anyone to invite besides you." I said.

"And Tony." Liyah added with a smirk on her face.

"I promise nothing's going on with me and Tony." I laughed.

"Not yet, but how about we have a sleepover just us two." Aaliyah suggested.

"That's would be good." considering my birthday is on Halloween and I'm pretty sure everyone will be out rooming the streets.

"Well I better get home before my step dad starts calling." I said.

"Okay let me get my keys and I'll take you home." Aaliyah said.

**the next day (at school)

"Hey beautiful." Tony said walking up towards me.

"Hey Tony." I replied.

"So look I know your birthday is Saturday and I really want to take you to this costume party." Tony replied.

"A Party?" I asked. I wasn't really feeling parties anymore.

"Yes Malcolm's party." he added.

"Oh no, I Can't go. I've Already made plans with Liyah." I said. I really wasn't going to attend a party knowing Malcolm would be there, Let alone hosting.

"Please Amber." Tony pleaded.

I gave in to his puppy face. "I'll think about it okay? I have to talk with Liyah first." I replied.

"Great." tony said with a big smile on his face while walking away.

After school I called up Liyah and she insisted that I go to the party with Tony. When Friday came me and Aaliyah went to party city to shop for a costume. I decide to be cat woman, because it's one of my favorite movies and I would love to get a chance to wear a leather suit.

***Saturday morning

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to Amber. Happy birthday to youuuu!"

My family sang in unison, while making there way in my room with a stack of pancakes with one little candle on top.

"Make a wish big head." My brother Aaron said.

I blew out the candles. "What did you wish for? My step dad asked.

"Nothing because I have everything I want right here in front of me." I replied. "I love you guys."

"Aww we love you too doo doo." My mom said while giving me a big kiss on my cheek.

"Well we got you a little present outside in the drive way." my mom said.

I ran to my window and saw a brand new all white Mercedes's Benz in the drive way.

"Oh my gosh thank you guys." I said hugging both my mom and my step father.

"Your welcome sweetie. We thought that since it was your 18th birthday we'd give you something special." my stepdad said.

"You've been waiting for a car for a long time and I could never afford it and now that we are financially stable I had no problem buying your dream car." my mom said.

"Thanks you guys." I said once again. "Let's go for a ride." I said putting on my house shoes.

"You and Aaron go, have fun baby girl." my mom insisted.

Me and Aaron drove around for hours. I felt free. I can't believe I'm 18 I'll be graduating high school in a few months and heading to Chicago to attend their fashion institute next fall. Where has time gone? I wondered to myself.

I drove back home just in time to get ready for the party. I really didn't want to go but I couldn't turn Tony down.
