"I think I'm pregnant." I confessed.

"Oh my gosh are you sure?" Aaliyah asked.

"I haven't started my cycle in 3 months." I admitted.

"Amber! You went that long not saying anything?" Aaliyah asked.

"I didn't think about it. I was stressed over Malcolm." I cried.

She went to her cabinet and pulled out a pregnancy test.

"Here." she said handing the test to me.

I followed the instructions and waited for the results

"Your pregnant." Aaliyah said. "welcome to the group." she said sarcastically

I broke down in tears. I can't have a baby right now. I have a full scholarship to a university to Chicago and my baby's father is in jail and want even talk to me.

"What am I going to do Liyah?" I cried.

"Your going to raise this baby and I'm going to help you. Just like you helped me." she replied.

I love my best friend.

I drove back home and decided to tell my parents the news. They weren't to excited.

"Damn Amber!" My mom yelled.

"I'm sorry mom." I replied.

"What about your scholarship ?" My step dad asked.

"I'm not going to Chicago but I'm not going to let a baby stop me from achieving my dreams." I said honestly.

"I'm going to go to a small community college around town and get my degree and stay with Liyah until I get a place and then maybe when the baby's older I'll go to Chicago."

"It's not going to be easy. " my mother said.

"I know." I replied.

The next day I went to the doctor and got my first ultra sound. My mom joined with me. Although she's not happy with the news she said she's still going to help me out during the pregnancy.

Aaliyah's Pov.

While Amber was at the hospital I decided to go visit Malcolm's dumb ass and talk some sense in him.

"Who are you here to see?" The woman at the front desk asked.

"Malcolm Jones." I replied.
