Hey guysss if you can would you please comment 🥲 i love reading comments🤧
Skylor's POV"The spiders gone now...poor spider."I commented, making Taylor shudder at the word spider.
"Haha... it got hit with my success..."she joked, patting her Grammy beside her. I smirked and looked at the Grammy .
"Album of the year for 1989, Taylor Swift "it read, the words gleaming, a testament of her success. "Seriously though...congrats." I said softly, meeting Taylor eyes once more, my breath being sucked away from the intensity of her gaze. Oh god. Why was my heart beating so damm fast?
I was totally down bad for Taylor. I was in love and I knew it. My pulse skyrocketed, my eyes unable to be torn away from Taylor's.
But Vincent...
My heart dropped to the bottom when Vincent's face popped up in my mind, a painful reminder of my still-raw grief. A lump getting caught in my throat, I banged my head internally. It hasn't even been a week since he died...what was I thinking about?
Love somebody else? I felt like I was betraying him every time I thought about Taylor, every time I looked at Taylor's lips. Unease and guilt built up in me, like a dam blocking water, waiting to release it all later in one big wave.
As if Taylor could sense my stormy mood, she commented carefully," oh yeah, Sky...I wrote a song for you...do you wanna hear it?"
My head snapped up, surprised but honored that Taylor Swift, the legendary singer, had wrote a song about me. Me. Of all people. It was probably going to an amazing song...but judging by Taylor's face, she probably didn't think the same.
Her eyes were trained on the ground, biting her lips anxiously. Her face ashen, revealed a vulnerability I hadn't seen before. I noticed that her hands were trembling ever so slightly, her knuckles turning white from gripping them too hard.
My heart broke for her. It was such a pity that the person she respected most...didn't give herself even half of the respect she deserved.
In that instant, the facade of sass and confidence crumpled, revealing to me a glimpse of the real Taylor. Not the global superstar, but the person behind the spotlight, with fears and doubts and emotions.
My heart immediately broke for her, and I reached for her hand tentatively.
I gulped, hoping with all my heart that she wouldn't pull away, wouldn't push me away.
Please Taylor. Let me in.
As our hands touched, I swore that I could see sparks fly. I kept my gaze fixed on Taylor, and she hesitated, but eventually intertwined her finger with mine. Grabbing it tightly yet gently, as if she didn't want to let go.
Good. Because I didn't, too. "Taylor...I believe in you. The song is gonna be awesome...play it for me please?"I asked, pouring out every inch of sincerity and care into my voice.
Slowly, but surely, Taylor's hands moved towards the guitar. Curling her fingers around it, she started to strum the first few chords, eyes closed, lost in the harmony.
I just stared, as she started to sign the first verse. That was all I could do.
I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonightHer eyes, usually guarded, softened, looking into mine like such a piercing gaze, like she could see right through my soul, and I felt exposed, yet strangely comforted.
