1. stolen Waffles ◇

A look out the window of the small cafe on a street corner allowed one to see the sun disappearing behind the houses. The customers were dwindling and it was getting dark, which meant that the little cafe was about to close.
Ellis finished the last order before he started clearing the tables and closing the blinds to the windows. When the doorbell rang for the last time and the jingle of keys could be heard, Ellis had locked the shop.
Ellis was immediately surrounded by the cold night air that replaced the stuffy summer air at night.
His small apartment was not far from his work.
It was a family shop that he had inherited from his parents when they died in a car accident when he was 17. He himself had no employees and worked alone, which was often nice but could also often be stressful.

He made his way down the street that led to the apartment and stopped in front of a residential complex as he took his key out of his backpack and opened the door. After he had walked up the creaky wooden stairs to the second floor, he finally stood in front of his own apartment door.

Ellis prov:

I could already smell the aroma of sweet, good food from outside, which meant that my roommate was already there and hadn't forgotten his key this time. The door creaked like the old wooden stairs when I opened the door.

"Hey Ellis is that you?"

I sighed as I put my things down and made my way to the kitchen where my roommate Karl was standing at the stove

"Yes, What are you doing there Karl?"

"don't have to be so mean, I just wanted to make food!"

karl was a hacker and one of ellis best villain friends if you could call it that.
To be honest, the two already knew each other from elementary school so it was no surprise that they were still working together as a team.

"do you want waffles I have made waffles!"

Karl turned away from the stove and went to Ellis with a plate full of waffles.

Well not for long because I took the plate from his hand and ran into my room and closed the door shut. My waffles now!

"Thanks for the waffles!!!"

a now very angry Karl knocked on the door obviously he didn't want to give away all the waffles away.

"Heyyyyyyy those are my waffles!
at least leave me some left pls!"

"Sorry but now they are no longer yours!"

I started laughing. but shortly afterwards I opened my door again and let Karl in, who still looked very angry.
but even Karl could not stop laughing after a while.
We sat on the floor for the next half hour with the plate full of waffles between us while we ate and waited for 7pm.

We were walking along the edge of a forest in the dark and you could hear the wind go through the leaves of the trees.

And there in a clearing in the forest stood an old ruin that reminded of an old factory and was overrun with nature.
We slowly made our way to the entrance where a heavy metal door blocked the way, protected by a paswot.

Karl opened the door without any problem and the two went in.
They went into a white, clean corridor that was several meters long before they came to the entrance room where a nice-looking woman was standing behind a counter.

"Your ID's please and how can I help you?"

ellis and karl both took ID cards out of their pockets, Ellis's was black and Karl's was orange.

The woman stared at Ellis for a minute with a shocked expression on her face.
Ellis had a black mask and sunglasses on so no one could see what he actually looked like

"Mr. VOID!!! What are you doing here? Aren't you active in another city?"

"No, he is active wherever he wants."

Karl said with a laugh .
Ellis was not just any person he was a bad guy or villain not only the most famous but also the strongest one.
everyone knew of Void the villain who revolutionizes against the government

The woman led them through a door that led to the HQ

The HQ was the main headquarters of the villains, there were 1 or 2 of them in every city.
To get into one of these HQs you needed an ID card.
Certain colors indicated different things like
Orange = technicians and people who worked in the lab
Green = the owners of the HQ
Blue = informants or spies
Purple = new villains or villains in training
Red = villains
And black= this card only exists once and belongs to Ellis.

But back to the HQ

The HQ had 4 main rooms which were:
-the Main laboratory:
(a room where all weapons and armor were on display for taking)

-the control center:
(a room where a digital map of the city can be seen and other technical things)

-the large training room:
(a huge sports hall-like space with parkour and other training materials)

-and the entrance hall and room:
(a large hall with 2 floors that led to other rooms and it had comfortable seating places with books and a small cafeteria)

The two owners of this HQ were good friends of Ellis which is why Karl and Ellis did not want to keep the two waiting.

So both went to the control center where Willow and Zeya were waiting for them.
