"So now what...."

Was the first thing Evy asked after everything went quiet again.
After a short silence , Mond finally decided to speak up.

"As you probably already know and probably the reason for this meeting is that we are now enemies of the government."

"That is correct, Mond. But let me introduce myself first, I am Willow and this is Zeya, the people behind the Villains HQ.
We are very interested in what exactly happened in the conversation and not just the President's point of view."

"Hm... okay Pery please show the others the recording"

When Mond said that, a round little man took a small PC from the side and pushed it into the middle of the table so that everyone had a good view of it.

"This is the recording of the conversation. Oh wait, I should introduce myself first I'm Pery and this is Vicktor Vex We are helping the heroes group."

after Pery said that, Viktor nodded briefly before the video was played.

ellis knew since he was young that the government was corrupt but that they would do something like that was too far.

"Okay, thanks for showing us this, this is just one more reason to do this deal with you.
We wanted to ask if you would help us replace the government."

"What do you mean by that? That we join our teams to kill someone? Sorry, but no, as much as we are against the government, we are still against killing people."

Mond said this in a slightly aggressive voice. But Ellis could understand this well; killing people went completely against the heroes' moral code.

but this comment seemed to start an argument. The other heroes of course agree with Mond but the 3 villains that Willow and Zeya had brought with them were of a completely different opinion.

the argument only got worse by the minute and Ellis had stood up to go and see Karl who was behind the counter.

Viktor Vex had now grabbed a cup and wanted to throw it.
the fight was now in full swing, some had taken out their weapons and a bloodbath could have happened at any second.

The air became thick and Ellis felt like sparks of fire were around him. he needed all his nerves not to kill everyone in this room who was fighting.
This shop was a neutral place for everyone and so the only rule was -no arguing or fighting- .

as he looked around in the room he noticed something so small that everyone would miss it if they didn't look closely.

"What the fuck!"

Was all he muttered as he took his gun out of his pocket.
This had all gone too far and his nerves were at their limit.

Darkness now surrounded the small shop like a black cloth wrapped around every wall and the only sound was the loud bang of the gun.

everything became quiet, nobody dared to say a word, everyone was still too shocked at what had happened only a moment ago.

Viktor Vex's dead body now lay on the floor in cold blood

"WHAT THE FUCK! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!"

Moon screamed while Star Shark and Pery just stood there shocked.
Ellis walked towards the dead body and kicked it so that it lay on its side.

"Shut up!"

He said in a cold voice as he turned around to see the others

"Don't you see the mark on his arm! Which also happens to be the mark of the government and even the last name Vex!
It's so obvious and no one had noticed!
This Viktor Vex a government spy right under our noses and no one had noticed!"

Ellis started to laugh but it was a cold laugh that sounded very bitter.

Everyone looked at Ellis as if he had killed someone, which he had.
They all had mixed emotions on their faces.

"now sit down again"

Was the last thing he said before the body was surrounded in a dark smoke and disappeared into the ground as if he had never existed.

"Now we can continue the conversation without arguments!
I don't accept fighting in my cafe so please Willow continue the conversation. "

Evy looked at Ellis with a smile and gave him the thumbs up before she asked everyone to go to their seats again.

"Well... moon We don't want you to kill people, we just want you to make sure the population is safe when and if we do something against the government. That means we would give up our title as villains to take on the name of vigilantes."

"I see that there is no other way as long as no innocents have to die, I think we have to agree.
Because with the government only more people would have to die and apparently they are also now sending spies after us.
But I just want to say that unlike you, we don't have an HQ willow!"

Moon still seemed unhappy about it but the fact that the government had sent spies into the hero group made her realize that they had to do something so she agreed.

The government was undoubtedly rigged. The president, Mr. Waffle, was a scoundrel who spent his time in the casinos of the Kiro district and Mr. Waffle only used his power to build some kind of weapon and get rid of anyone who was against him.

But In reality, the casino district ruled over yellow stone city.
If you wanted information you knew immediately where to go and you could get everything there at the right price.

"That won't be a problem we have Ellis Caffe shop and the former Villains HQ and now Vigilantes HQ"

Willow said happily since everyone had agreed in the end. Of course there will be people who would be unhappy with this deal but for now it had to be like this.
