-At the Coffee shop-

ellis didn't know what to prepare for tomorrow's meal for the People.
He was standing in the kitchen while Karl was rearranging the Tabels in the main room.

"Heyyyy Karl what do i need to prepare for tomorrow to eat?"

"How am I supposed to know? possibly waffles or pancakes and coffee and possibly cake, salad and snacks!"

"you only say that because you are hungry atm. Am i right?"

"yes you are right!"

Although Ellis had made fun of Karl's answer, he was still right and so he prepared everything carefully so that tomorrow nothing can go wrong.

or at least Ellis hoped so but only time could answer that.

After what felt like hours, the two were finally finished and went back home.

They were finished with cleaning the coffee shop but not with their general tasks of the day.

"What is our mission today?"

I asked when we arrived back at my apartment.

"Hm.. let me see.. I think today is just walking around the city and being around for others if they need help with their mission."

"again what the heck!"

He was annoyed that was the third time in a row that he was not allowed to experience any real action but he would survive.
Karl went to the gaming/hacker hell as he always called it.

It was a small room with PCs everywhere, you could see maps of the city and data banks of thousands of things.
how karl coped with this was a mystery to ellis but he had stopped questioning his friend a long time ago.

Ellis got his armor and weapons from his closet. it was a mostly black outfit with a long coat that had a star-like design at the bottom. he wore sunglasses to hide his face and his brown hair had a purple and blue galaxy-like appearance now.

Ellis loved his villain outfit because it took a long time to perfect.
He had 3 guns, some small arrows, several knives and 2 swords and of course his magic but he tried not to use it too often.

Many didn't even know that he had pistols because he was more optimized for close combat with the swords, neither willow nor Zeya knew that he owned pistols and only he himself and Karl knew.

which was good because if he had to surprise someone, that was the best way!
a magician with a gun, that sounds kind of funny, doesn't it?

-In the night-

it was somewhat quiet today, but not the strange quiet but the beautiful one.
where one didn't have to worry about anything except existing.

ellis ran over the roofs of the houses and looked around the quiet city

he ran until he found a nice place and sat down on the edge of the roof top.

If you didn't know exactly what to look for, you couldn't see him from below.
he was on a skyscraper, an office building probably.

a quiet hum from his cell phone disturbed the silence for a few seconds.

ellis put his phone down and waited... for what he didn't know but he waited.

the lanterns below are now slowly lighting up as the summer sun sets behind the builtings.
the cold air now came in and replaced the warm air of the day.

He now heard footsteps behind him but did not turn around
