"Phoenix was rough" Abby begins as all the girls sit in front of her for pyramid. Today, Cassie had on her black, sparkly, leotard. Her hair was up in a high ponytail with a black bow. She also had her dangly silver earrings in. The girl sat next to Maddie and behind Brooke and Kenzie. She was stretching herself so she was all ready to start rehearsing once pyramid was over.

"You guys got your butts kicked. Here in Pittsburgh, you have won everything, but it's clearly a different story when you get on a plane and fly across the country. For years, I took the kids by myself. I made sure their hair was right. I made sure the makeup was right. I put the headpiece on. All the mothers want to go now because they are reliving their childhood through all of you. And that's when the trouble happens." Abby explains to the group of girls

"I am the leader. I am the teacher. You do what I say. When your mother's telling you something else to do, that becomes a conflict. Do you understand that?" Abby asks and Cassie nods her head while she's in straddle splits

"Now, Nia, how do you think you did?" Abby asks the girl

"Well, I think we could have improved." Nia responds

"What do you need to improve?" Abby asks

"Pointing my feet" She answers

"Yes. Very sloppy. The feet, the legs, the shoulders, your arms. The same mistakes over and over and over, and that pulls the group down." Abby criticizes Nia

"Chloe, the headband was bad. Next time, what are you gonna do?" Abby asks

"Make sure my headpiece stays on" Chloe responds

"Could you have prevented that?" Abby asks and Chloe nods. "Yes."

"Okay. The new number will be called Electricity. Everybody say that" Abby tells the girls, who all repeat "electricity"

Abby then takes Cassie's headshots off its clip at the top of the pyramid. "Cassie, because you were fantastic this weekend, you behaved, your mother was an angel, you're gonna be in the front, in the center for the beginning of the routine"

"Everybody's goal should be right here." Abby draws marks near Cassie's headshot with her chalk. "Yes? Okay. Three solos will be competing"

"Maddie, you will be doing one of your solos, and, Chloe, you will be doing one of your solos. Then, I have Cassie, you will be doing a solo in the category below them" Abby tells the three girls and Cassie smiles as wide as she could.

| One thing I really want to have happen this year is have Maddie go against Cassie. Abby always says that "Oh, Cassie's the one girl I can count on" and "Oh, Cassie's the best". I want my daughter to prove to Abby that she can be number one | Melissa Ziegler

"All right, everybody up. I wanna start this number. Moms, you are dismissed. Thank you" Abby finishes, and Cassie stands up. She smiles at her mother who is now leaving the room. Cassie tightens her ponytail before taking her spot in the front for group rehearsals

"Up, down, down. Switch split. Step, hit. Ball change." Abby yells out as the girls dance. "Sassy, that's not skippy"

"Cassie, you have to look sexier when you do that. Make it like you're 17 years old" Abby tells the girl who nods

| I don't really understand what Abby means. I mean, she said she wants me to look like I'm 17, that's 10 years older than what I am now! | Cassie Kostopoulos

"Here comes Abby" Melissa tells the girls who are jumping and fooling around, climbing on the benches and mats. Cassie immediately jumps off the bench and gets into splits
