Aaron was visibly frustrated trying to get all the prices of the sliding puzzle into their rightful places. Many members of the first group had attempted the puzzle, but none of their ideas seemed to work, and it felt like they had been there for hours trying to figure out this one task. Alex looked at the time on her phone, it had only been about 45 minutes. She lets out an annoyed sigh, the other puzzles certainly didn't take THIS long to do. Then again, it was better than having to fight more of those blobby bunny creatures when they rounded every corner. Well... run away and dodge was more appropriate to describe it.

Aaron: Ah! Guys, I think I almost got it!

The whole group sat or stood up in hopeful anticipation from their spots throughout the room and looked over to the door which had the accursed sliding puzzle on it. With a few more slides, the pattern was complete and a satisfying click rang throughout the room. Aaron held his arms straight into the air.

Aaron (Triumphant): YES!!!

The group all cheered as the door slowly creaked open.

Papyrus: Finally! That took WAY too long! I never allow my puzzles to take up that much time.

Gregory: Let's just hope any puzzles we come across now won't be this tedious.

They all began to walk through the door and into a hallway. The floor was nearly unseen and the walls and ceiling were lined in a neon-purple line pattern that reminded Alex of an etch-a-sketch when she looked at it.

Mae: I can barely see anything in here.

Foxy: Just stay close and don't-

He was cut off as he smacked face-first into a wall that none of the group could see at first.

Cooler (Irritated): Are you kidding me? A dead end?!

Alex (Irritated): Forget this! I'm turning on my phone light.

But before she could fully take the device out of her pocket, the group heard a familiar, mischievous cackle. They all looked around the darkened hallway to the best of their ability.

Moon (Creepy Voice): Aww... Having trouble navigating the dark? I personally love the dark. You need to give it more of a chance.

Alex (Surprised): M-Moon?!

Freddy: Why are you talking like that? It's us, your friends.

Moon (Normal Voice): Really? You're still calling yourselves my friends?

Peridot: What are you talking about?

Moon: You really don't have any idea, do you? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Come to me, I'll show you first hand what you've done!

The patterned hallway around them began to move backward, like the group was standing on a conveyor belt. It increasingly became faster and faster, and they took out their weapons and readied their magical attacks in preparation for what they might see at the end. Soon enough, the hallway gave way to a large room with no walls and a wooden flooring. They all looked around for their friend, but couldn't see him anywhere.

Foxy: OK lad, we're here. Now where are ye?!

Purple digital particles zipped around them and converged in front of them. Once they all came together, it took the familiar shape of their friend, then materialized him in full. The group's eyes narrowed as they took in his appearance. His blue baggy pants and signature nightcap were missing their usual yellow stars. Instead, white dots speckled their fabric and glinted when the unseen light of this place hit them at just the right angle. Those same pieces of clothing now had a dark gradient at the ends of them. His hat now seemed to have a floating, mist-like appearance to it and billowed like a cloud of miasma. Purple digital lines of corruption lined his eyelids, and his forearms glowed a bright blue. When he opened his eyes to flash the group a mischievous smirk, they were white with purple pupils, and the sclera was a bright, angry red. They knew right away that this wasn't the Moondrop they knew.
