["Dance To Express, Not Impress"]

"Ladies, let's go! Come on!"

The girls entered. Emily stood between Maddie and Paige, her hair down. They had been rushed through their interviews and barely made it over in time for pyramid. Abby threatened the girls and said if they were let for pyramid they weren't going to do the group number today, instead they would do abs, legs, and feet.

Mackenzie already looked bored and Kendall was clearly tired. Emily knew she would soon be feeling like both of them because she could not be dreading pyramid more. Last week was good week, it was Abby she didn't want to deal with. She hoped Beckett would get to teach her this week's solo.

She already knew she had a solo because Beckett told her the previous week he had already started choreographing it. Just because he choreographed it doesn't mean he would be the one to teach it to her.

"We have lots to go over," Abby told the moms and girls. "It's going to be a busy, busy, busy week here. No coming late, no leaving early. There will be a group dance this week. Last time we did one it got third. I expect you to get first with this one, and I don't care how many hours you have to spend in this studio. That routine will be perfect."

"Now, Texas.... I know none of you were expecting a gym floor, I sure wasn't. Some of you dance better in the gym than you did onstage. Others? I certainly can't say the same. We had all these plans made to go to New Jersey. And then, at the last minute, we have to completely flip it. There's a lot of dance companies in this country that would have said 'Fine, we're not going'. And we didn't do that. We went, some great things happened and some really bad things happened," Abby exaggerated the word really a lot. "Now, this week, we are going to Hollywood Vibe right here in Pittsburgh."

Emily smiled immediately at this news. She wouldn't have to pack a whole suitcase this week full of makeup costumes, and dresses. She wouldn't have to sit on a bus for hours upon hours. She would get to sleep in her own bed. The moms and girls all clapped knowing they wouldn't have to leave the state.

"I want to see one hundred percent from every single one of you. Remember, we're in our own backyard. You have a target on your back. So do I," there was always a target on their backs though. They're literally on national television, of course everyone wants to beat them, "There's a lot more riding on Hollywood Vibe, I am not going to lose in my own town. The group number this week is called Private Eyes. I'm going to arm you with a secret weapon. You're going to be using guns...in your routine."

Emily and Maddie looked to one another shocked when they heard this. Katie's jaw was dropped as she looked between each of the moms.

"Guns?" Katie asked.

"Guns," Abby nodded before turning back to the girls. "When you step on that stage, I want you to kill it. Understood? You're going to blow the competition away."

Katie did not want to send her daughter onstage with a weapon. Even if it was a plastic weapon it still felt wrong. She already let her kid be a bully in a dance, now she was going to let her dance with a gun?

"Now we're going to move onto the pyramid," Abby revealed the first person on the bottom of the pyramid. "Mackenzie, you went from first," Abby gestured to the top of the pyramid to the bottom, "you always have to keep working. You got second with your solo. Second is the first to lose. And on top of that the costume you were wearing was not new. It was from last season."
