Chapter 4

After that extremely awkward night of admitting what I did to Adrien Agreste was creepy as heck- almost swore there but that shall never happen again- we were heading out to a detention center to see a situation that was happening there and to see how many casualties happened as well. It was dreary out and you could just feel how depressing everything was. "Definitely a cured womb-" I make it look like I was listening but I just couldn't pay attention. I was just thinking about my confession from last night. I can just feel the rain hitting my face until well, "Excuse me sir, tell me! Where's my son-?" I look at the poor woman who looks on the verge of tears being held back by security. "Where's Tadashi? I need to know if my son Tadashi is alright!" I look at Yuji and see him tearing up our instructor for the day says something but- "Please leave ma'am someone might've released poison gas into the system." She starts bawling, I hear Yuji's fist crack, "Mari, Fushiguro, Kugasaki, We'll save them."

"Of course" Nobara and I respond with before heading into the extremely eerie building. "Be careful-" I hear him mumble something before darkness goes around us. Fushiguro explains how the veil works and everything, I am half listening. "Demon dogs-" Huh? I watch as a dog emerges from his shadow and howls. I look at the good boi in awe and pet it a few times with Yuji talking about how we are gonna rely on him. We go more into it, and " Wasn't this a two floored building?" "Maybe it was a condo?" I feel dread bite into me and I look at Fushiguro "The door-!" We all collectively start losing our shit about the door asking what to do. "The demon dog remembers the entrance." We start praising the good boy and Yuji praises Fughiguro. We soon start our mission, then we find bodies. Yuji runs over immediately, "We need to bring him back! It's that woman's son!-" Yuji and Megumi start arguing but that bad feeling from earlier just intensifies more and more. "You both! This is no time for-" I feel myself falling and look at Nobara and she is falling as well. I quickly grab her hand as we fall. 

We were walking around a hallway we fell into, I was still holding Nobara's hand as I felt absolutely terrified. Suddenly she stops and pulls out her hammer and nails. We are facing many curses and god are they ugly. Nobara and I were fighting to the best of our ability trying to just stay alive. "Down to my last one already- I should've brought more." "Don't give up Nobara! I have your back!" I continue to swing my yoyo but I can feel my movements getting slower and my breathing becoming heavier, then I feel my suit going back into the earrings. No- No-NO! I start getting brown around but I am focused on keeping my suit on. "You-I know your face now!"I open my eyes and see the curse starting to eat Nobara. My suit snaps back on in an instant as I kick one of the curses through the head and grab her. Then we get snatched by a frog tongue, "You know, I really hate frogs..." "That's to damn bad!"

I thank Fushiguro for the help and we quickly run out of there. "Hey your suit is-" I see it reforming onto my skin and feel a sense of pride washing over me. Once we got out of the building Fushiguro's demon dog released a howl. I look at my hands and arms twirling to get a look at the suit still attached to me. Fushiguro gives Nobara over to the driver and tries to shove me in as well but I wouldn't let him. "I'm fine! I wanna look out for Yuji!" We argued for a bit and he finally lets me stay.  We waited for a long time, like fifteen minutes in the rain. "Achoo!" I feel the snot tickling my nose  "Yeah sorry, but he's not coming back." huh? Yuji? Nope that is Sukana. I feel anger overcome me when he appears, I don't know why but whenever he shows up I get nervous and upset. Like something burns inside me that is just hate. He rips his shirt off. "WOAH HEY!-" Fushiguro gives me a look along with Sukana but then he says and does something that makes my blood freeze, "I've been wanting to do this-" He ripped Yuji's beating heart out of his chest. I see red, "I'm taking this brat hostage-" I immediately start going for the throat. 

I will damage his body so bad he has to fully regenerate Yuji's body. "Move brat!-" He grabs me by the leg and pelts me through many walls and a few trees. I try to focus back into reality as quick as I can and see him talking to Fushiguro. I look at them and see Fushiguro fighting him, "GET HIS ASS-" oh I did it again! I see him then knock around Fushiguro, I run back in with his bird and start landing hits myself. He blows the cursed bird up into a million pieces and me up into the air. Okay! It's time to think! I land back onto the ground harshly and hide in a building, I also saw Fushiguro get slammed through cement blocks through said building. I throw my hands up and an item lands in my hands a piano! This is fine! I pick it up with ease and start running. Fushiguro was on the ground with his bird and Sukana was tormenting him. I'm not losing someone else! I hit him hard with the piano, right on top of the head, I see him stagger a bit but ultimately he grabs me by the throat and starts closing in. I feel the air not being allowed into my lungs then the grip softens as I fall to the ground gasping for air. I also see blood seeping from my neck and then I look up and see Yuji fall and "YUJI-!" I grab his body while coughing up blood from suddenly talking. Fushiguro had to grab me and shove me away, "LET ME GO- LET ME GO FUSHIGURO!" "No Marinette!-" I hit, bit and kicked but my willpower ran out and I just started balling.
