Still turned around in her seat to watch Tyler's vehicle hurtle in the opposite direction, Carmen waits for it. Waits to watch as their twister dies out right in front of their eyes. Not because she wants them to suffer or lose out on the experience, but because she has to know she can trust her gut. Has to know this feeling is right━━━won't know what to do if it's not.

As she watches with bated breath━━━trapped in her chest and making her desperation tangible━━━it's impossible not to release it in a rush of a cheer as the twister Tyler sped after disappears. In front of them, theirs continues to flow.

From the front, Kate whoops alongside her as the car fills with an energy defined by success. Not even a second later, Javi joins them. "Whoo, baby, let's go!" He turns between the two, eyes flickering before landing where they always do. "That was amazing, Kate. How did you even know that?"

"Well," Kate turns a little in her seat, leaning around the leather to catch Carmen's eyes and smirk. "I think Carmen saw it first, but the wheat?" She motions out the window, the damned stalks left in their rearview, before back to the twister forming beside them. "Winds moved to the north. Just what this one needed."

Javi shakes his head absently, eyes wide and on Kate━━━defined by amazement and awe. It's almost as heartwarming and is it heartwrenching to see such a sight.

As he pulls his eyes away, it's a flurry of their scattered voices and demanding instructions from the passenger that get them moving again. Pulling to the front of a tornado coming straight toward them was never a feeling that could get old, nor one that could be replicated. Carmen's lips stretch widely across her face at the sight, and she jumps out of the car right behind Kate to look up at it.

"You got it?" She calls over the familiar whipping wind as the blonde makes a dash for the back of the truck. The scanner is laid up in the bed, and Kate nods roughly right before she and Javi maneuver it out into the dirt. It's impossible not to be torn between watching the masterpiece of a storm in front of them, and the determination and force that make up Kate and Javi as they work. She's stuck staring between the two from her place, even if she knows rule number one is to never get stuck.

"We're all set!" Javi calls, "Kate, come on!"

Moving back toward the truck doors, Kate grabs Carmen's arm and pulls not-to-gently, re-directing her to Lion without much more preamble.

In the car, the three barely slammed their doors shut before hightailing it back down the road and toward some kind of safe haven.

"Javi, it's turning, fast!" Previously buried panic flares to the forefront of all their minds, red hot and heart hammering. Carmen leans forward in her seat, nails digging and teeth grinding. Behind them, the funnel of destruction seems to follow them. As if now that it's had them in its sights, it's not going to let us go without a fight.
