Y/n first met Klaus a few months ago in the library Klaus and Violet worked in part-time. Y/n stepped into the library and made her way towards the long rows of shelves to begin browsing the large selection of books. As she did so, she came across a girl with long brunette hair who looked a year or two older than her.
"Do you need any help finding anything?" the girl asked smiling.
"Yes, I'm looking for Anna Karenina." y/n replied.
"I love that book!" she responded excitedly. "My name's Violet by the way, Violet Baudelaire." continued the girl, as she led y/n to the book.
"Nice to meet you!" y/n said, "I'm y/f/n y/l/n".
"My brother and I are on our break in a few minutes; would you wanna hang out with us?" Violet asked while handing y/n the book.
"Sure!" y/n replied happily.
After y/n checked out the book, Violet led her to the break room where she laid eyes on the most gorgeous looking boy she had ever seen.
"This is my brother, Klaus", Violet said smiling, "Klaus, this is y/n."
"It's a pleasure to meet you", Klaus said smiling, trying to hide his blush. He had never seen a girl so beautiful.
"The pleasure's all mine", y/n responded, laughing slightly.
Y/n looked into his brown eyes and felt her heart swell. They were the prettiest eyes she had ever seen; so beautiful, so warm and inviting. She quickly looked away and sat down on one of the chairs in the room. She hoped that Klaus hadn't noticed her admiring him; no way would a guy like him ever be interested in me, she thought to herself. Violet and Klaus sat down as well and the three chatted away the fifteen minute break, beginning a friendship that would forever change their lives.
As the next few months passed by, y/n and the Baudelaire's became close friends, hanging out multiple times a week at the library and eventually at the Baudelaire's home. The more y/n got to know Klaus, she realized he wasn't only extremely handsome, but also kind, intelligent, and compassionate. As much as she tried to resist, she couldn't help herself from falling harder for him every time she saw him.
Despite y/n and Klaus's close friendship, the two had never been alone together, as Violet or Sunny were always around at the library or the Baudelaire's house. So when Klaus asked y/n if she wanted to come over to his house that Saturday to watch a movie, y/n happily agreed, assuming that Violet and Sunny would be there. Y/n would soon find out that she was very mistaken.
On Saturday afternoon, y/n walked up the patio steps of the Baudelaire's home and rang the doorbell. Klaus opened the door smiling.
"Hi, come on in!" Klaus said cheerfully.
Y/n stepped into the house and looked around.
"Where are Violet and Sunny?" she asked.
"Oh they went to the park", Klaus said casually, "I don't think they'll be back for a few hours."
Y/n's heart started racing, realizing that she was going to be alone with Klaus for the first time.
"So it's just us then", y/n said, slightly laughing, trying to hide her nervousness.
"Yeah", Klaus said lightly, nodding his head a little.
Little did y/n know, Klaus had planned this on purpose, so he could finally tell her how he really felt about her. He too had been falling for y/n more and more over the past few months and couldn't stand to go a day longer without telling her his true feelings for her.
