After that fateful afternoon, y/n and Klaus started dating right away and Violet and Sunny were more than accepting of their relationship.
It was now the middle of June, about ten months after Klaus and y/n had first confessed their love for each other, and y/n had just celebrated her 18th birthday. Klaus had turned 18 a few months earlier. On her birthday, y/n went over to the Baudelaire's house for a surprise party they had planned for her. When y/n arrived Violet opened the door smiling.
"Happy Birthday!" Violet said excitedly. "Klaus and Sunny are in the kitchen."
Violet stepped aside to let y/n in and they headed to the kitchen. When they arrived Klaus rushed towards y/n and picked her up.
"Happy Birthday y/n!" Klaus said enthusiastically.
"Thanks Klaus" y/n said giggling as he set her down.
After the party, Klaus walked y/n home as the
sun was setting. When they reached y/n's house, Klaus gazed sweetly at her and asked, "Would you wanna go out together on Saturday?""You know I would", y/n said, smiling at him.
"Great", Klaus said smiling back at her, "I'll pick you up at 7."
With that, Klaus placed a gentle kiss on y/n's lips and headed home.
It was now Saturday, and y/n was getting ready for her date with Klaus. Though she had gone on dates with Klaus many times before, y/n felt like this time was going to be different, extra special.
Klaus arrived at y/n's house at 7 and knocked on the door. Y/n opened the door smiling and hugged Klaus.
"You look beautiful", Klaus said, admiring y/n."Thanks", y/n said blushing, "and you look handsome as always", she continued, looking into his eyes.
Klaus drove himself and y/n to their favorite restaurant in the city and the two enjoyed a romantic dinner.
After they finished their meal, Klaus suggested that they walk through the city park for a bit as it was a beautiful clear summer night, with a slight breeze in the air. Y/n and Klaus walked through the moonlit park hand in hand until they reached a lit up fountain on a cobble stone path.
"Wow this is so pretty!" Y/n said looking at the sight in front of her.
"Yes", Klaus said, looking down, letting a soft breath.
"Y/n", Klaus said after a moment, looking into her eyes, "This past year I've known you, has truly been the best year of my life", Klaus started, "and the past ten months I've dated you have been even better."
Y/n smiled lovingly at him, but still didn't realize where this was going.
"Ever since my parents died I've felt out of place in the world. But when I met you finally felt like I belonged. Every time I'm with you, I feel at home, and like I'm where I've been meant to be my whole life. I never want to lose you."
Klaus then reached into his pocket, pulled out a small box, and got down on his knee. Y/n gasped as she finally realized what Klaus had been doing.
"I promise to love you every moment for as long as I live. Would you do me the extraordinary honor of marrying me?"
Tears started to form in y/n's eyes, "Of course I will Klaus" y/n said, smiling brightly.
Klaus felt his heart swell as y/n jumped into his arms. Klaus picked her up and sprung her around before gently setting her down.
"Do you want to put on your ring?" Klaus said, smiling brightly at her.
"Yes", y/n said, smiling and nodding excitedly.
Klaus took out the ring and slid it onto y/n's left ring finger.
"It's beautiful Klaus", y/n said, admiring the ring, "thank you", she said smiling at him.
"I'm the one that should be thanking you", Klaus said smiling, as he leaned in to kiss her.
Y/n and Klaus kissed each other passionately, both ecstatic that they would soon be joined to each other forever. As the two headed home, they couldn't help from smiling as they were both so filled with joy to know that they would be spending the rest of their lives with each other.
When they reached y/n's house, Klaus gave y/n a long kiss as they approached the door.
"Good night future wife", Klaus said smiling."Good night future husband", y/n replied smiling back at him.
Y/n then went into her house and Klaus drove home, overjoyed that he would be marrying the only girl he was ever going to be in love with. Even though they were young, it didn't matter, they both knew that they wanted to be with each other forever, and they didn't want to prolong living their life together. They were meant for each other, and couldn't see themselves being happy with anyone else.
Stay tuned for part three!
