seeking redemption

New world

A storm rages around a destroyed castle while the sounds of battle echo through its empty halls. As two warriors clash in a battle of life and death one seeking redemption the other power and vengeance. One is Siegfried the one who was once the azure Knight Nightmare now freed from the cursed swords grasp the other a ghost of his past given life Nightmare the Azure Knight reborn. Their strikes are powerful and swift as both warriors strike and parry each other with hatred for the other.

Siegfried- here I destroy my unforgivable past and end this nightmare!!

Nightmare only laughs as he enters a blade lock with Siegfried.

Nightmare- you will never be free of me your sins will follow you wherever you go.

Nightmares voice echoes and is full of hatred towards Siegfried, the two continue to battle neither one gaining an advantage in the fight till both are left in a stalemate. Until Nightmare called upon his sword Souledge to increase his power and he began to over power Siegfried pushing him back with heavy strikes till he was down on one knee exhausted and his sword requiem knocked away Nightmare gloated in victory as he raised Souledge.

Nightmare- here you die and become a part of the nightmare once more!

As Nightmare brought his sword down Siegfried felt a surge of energy and felt a power in his right arm and on instinct he swung up as a sword formed in his hand cutting through Souledge and landing in Nightmares chest. Siegfried started to stand as he drove the sword deeper into Nightmare as a dark power flowed out of him.

Siegfried- with this it ends.

He then pulled the sword out of Nightmare as he fell to the floor dead he looked at the sword he summoned and he could feel the power from it start to fade as the sword vanished. He looked at Nightmares body as the dark power began to form a portal and suck him and the sword shards of Souledge in Siegfried grabbed Requiem and slammed it into the ground to hold himself as the portal began to suck him in as well.

Siegfried- the hell is this!

As Siegfried tried to pull himself back his sword came loose and he was sucked into the portal and lost consciousness.  What felt like minutes Siegfried awakened to a night sky with a shattered moon and a green forest with a light breeze.

Siegfried- where am I what is this place?

Suddenly Siegfried sat up and looked around desperately looking for the remains of Nightmare and the cursed sword he saw no sign of either one, which began to make him worry.

Siegfried- I killed him I know I did so did his body land somewhere else if so I need to find him and the cursed sword before someone else does.

As Siegfried rose to his feet he picked up his sword requiem and placed it on his back.  He then looked around trying to decide where to go till he decided to head north and hope he chose right.  He walked for what felt like hours till he felt a pain in his right arm when he looked at his hand it was trembling till a vision of Nightmares monstrous arm appeared and lashed out at him he grabbed his hand only for it to be normal.  His heart was racing and he was sweating from what he saw.

Siegfried- still I'm plagued by my past will I ever be free.

As Siegfried calmed himself down he heard growls behind him he quickly spun around pulling requiem off his back and getting into a combat stance. He was greeted by the sight of 3 massive wolves with what looked like bone spikes and red eyes.

Siegfried- are they corrupted by the cursed sword, no matter I need to kill these things before they harm someone else.

With out a second thought Siegfried charged forward as the wolves lunged at him he brought his sword down on the first one quickly crushing it under the weight of the blade then quickly turning his body to use his momentum and the swords weight to cut the second one in a horizontal swing.  The third one tried to lunge and bite him but Siegfried spun around kicked the wolf away then jumped up and brought the sword down with such force it crushed the wolf and the ground under him on impact, when the last one was dead he noticed the wolves turning to ash which left him confused.
