Alexina POV

"Here lies the lost life of Bennett James Valentine-"

"TJ do something!! No no no Lexi-"

"My baby, don't leave me!"

"Grandson, Son, Brother and friend."

"Alexina stop!"

"Valentine! Stop!"

"Somebody do something!"

Shooting up from my bed, I glanced at the alarm clock.

3:37am.

A little longer than last night.

Not bad.

I grabbed the towel I have in my bedside table, using it to wipe the sweat off my face and neck.

Turning my lamp on, I grabbed my dressing gown and a regular towel, better now than ever to have a shower.

Dr Lacey my Therapist said having showers after my nightmares can help clear my mind. I've tried it a few times and it seems to work so hopefully it stays this way.

So... Maybe you guys should have a catch up!

Lake Rivera, you may remember, Will went missing, Abigail turned bad, Lucian turned good... It was a shambles. Alistair was actually alive as was Bennett who is now dead. I died.

Yeah, I died.

I was in a coma.

So turns out that there was a prophecy, only me or Bennett could live. Not both of us. The stronger twin was to live on.

When I died, Bennett woke up from his magical coma. All I remember is waking up in the hospital to my mum screaming and when I looked down, all I saw was Bennett lying there, lifeless on the ground.

Since then, my mum has pretty much hated me, so much she can't even look at me.

My dad still speaks to me, he comes to see me all the time, him and my mum are going through the process of a divorce. My mum is trying to fight it but I don't think she'll win.

Since then, I've been living with my Uncle. Alpha Franklin Marshall of Pack Blue Moon. Him and my mum are twins, the pack have no issues with Elementals but they did disgrace my mum for marrying one.

If she chose to be rid of her Elemental powers, she wouldn't belong to any supernatural group, she's a Rogue from her pack and wouldn't have the acknowledgement of the Elite on her shoulders.

She would become a Rogue wolf.

Anyway, the group has pretty much stayed the same. Malin and Milani decided to go travelling for nine months as they figured they need a break and I honestly don't blame them, TJ is there with them for six.

My cousin Kendrick or Kenny as I call him has been spending a lot of time with us but he tends to spend time with his pack members. Everybody adores him and I'm not surprised, he is the kindest person I know, don't let that fool you, he's the next in line Alpha of my Uncle Frank's pack.

Lucian has joined and he is closer with the boys than anybody could've anticipated. Connor, Billy and Hudson are the same, creating mischief and running away, not one of them left my side in the hospital.

Grayson? Grayson is a bag of mixed emotions. One minute he wants to be with me, the next he has Wendy Taylor practically giving him a lap dance.

I'm nobody's second choice.

Getting out of the shower, I looked at my alarm clock. 5:30am. Just under two hours, I shook my head as that's just such a waste of water. I pulled a black hoodie over my head and pulled the hood up. I shoved on a pair of black leggings and made my way downstairs as I know my Uncle Frank will be awake.

"Good morning." I whispered as I poked my head through the kitchen where my Uncle Frank sat drinking his coffee.

"Good morning sweet." He smiled as he stood up and immediately brought me in for a hug. "Sleep well?"

"3 hours." I answered and he shot me a small smile.

"You're getting better." He ruffled my hair and I flattened my hair back down.

Pouring myself and orange juice, I sipped it slowly as I peered over what he was reading.

"Oh- there is also one for you!" He smiled as he sot up and left the kitchen.

I waited for him to come back which didn't take long.

He handed me a small envelope, my name written smoothly in italics in black ink. The envelope was a satin green and I raised my eyebrows before carefully opening it.

Dear Alexina Valentine,

You are invited to the 18th birthday celebration of Alpha Princess Ember Montgomery.

12th October @ 5:30pm.

Please wear your traditional colours. Formal attire is preferred.

Please RSVP through Alpha Frank Marshall.

"Damn. Monty is turning eighteen?" I muttered and Uncle Frank nodded his head.

"It seems only yesterday that you, Bennett, Kenny and Ember were running around in your nappies fighting with each other." He chuckled. "Boy has that time gone by fast."

"Yeah..." I sighed as I walked around the kitchen counter and out of the way of the warriors who had been in training.

Kenny stood out like a sore thumb, he's the only person with platinum blonde hair.

"Morning Kenny." I smiled and he took his shirt off throwing it at me.

Gagging as it felt like it has just come out of the washing machine and smelled of... Is that onion?

"You're disgusting." I scolded him as I launched it back at him.

"The pair of you get dressed and ready for the academy! It's the first day and Alistair's first day back as leader. Lexi, he will want you there as his prize possession." Uncle Frank smiled and we both nodded our heads.

Racing upstairs, I pushed Kenny out of the way but he quickly caught up to me and pushed me back.

Glaring at him, I shoved him out of the way again causing him to laugh out loud and head to his bedroom.

Walking back to my bedroom, I stared at the uniform that's been hung up on my wardrobe. Luna Kira must have been in here already as there is a note.

Alexina, enjoy your day sweetheart, I've left for a meeting with the Luna Queen Elizabeth.

Smiling, I placed the note down and ran my eyes over the uniform.

The uniform has changed with Alistair taking over, its now black and white.

Simple.

"Alexina, Robbie will be waiting for us downstairs, I'll see you in ten?" Kenny asked as he walked past my room.

"Yeah! I'll be down soon."

Let's get ready.
