Theos POV

Waking up, I groaned as today is my first day being Ember's bodyguard.

Ajax has tried to persuade me into believing that this a good thing but I don't think it is.

I also can't figure out why Alpha King Alarick called Alpha Brendan an asshole.

Does he know the way he runs his pack? If so, I wish them good luck.

Getting ready, I loosened my tie and threw my blazer over my shoulder.

"Lola! What are you-"

"Your mascara is better than mine!"

"Get out of my room!"

"Just let me use the mascara!"

"No! Get out!"

Hearing a door slam, I rolled my eyes and opened my door. Lola shot me a glare before huffing and storming downstairs.

She is the future Royal Gamma?

Yep. Shocking right?

I hope that Ember demotes her. Ember may be a little spoiled at home but ultimately she is professional and respectful, exactly how a princess should be.

Walking towards Ember's door, I caught the eye of Zen who glared at me too.

Why does nobody like me? I understand I may have pissed them off but it was just a joke! Even Princess Ember wasn't fussed by it!

Knocking on Ember's door, I waited patiently for her to come outside so we can go for breakfast.

"Come in Theo?" I opened her door and she was sat at her dressing table, straightening her hair.

"How did you know it was me?" I asked and she smirked.

"You're the only person who seems polite enough to knock." She rolled her eyes before standing up and placing her hands on her hips.

I watched her figure, and wow is it an hourglass. Her skirt pulled up mid thigh, her perfectly toned legs on show. My eyes wondered upto her face, her full lips and eyes blue like the Mediterranean Sea. Her thick brown hair rests on her shoulders, framing her face-

"Hey- wake up!" I snapped out of my trance to see a smirking Ember. "If my dad sees you doing that, he'll go nuts."

Oh I didn't even realize.

Wow.

She's freaking gorgeous.

"And don't do it at school. If those little pests you've slept with see it, I'll be targeted and quizzed." She smiled before throwing her bag over her shoulder and walking out of her room.

I laughed as I don't know why she thinks I've slept with people?

I'm waiting for my mate.

You showed up to lunch last week boasting how you have two dates to the ball remember?

Oh yeah. I haven't even kissed anybody!

Well when you boast, people tend to think the opposite unless your an idiot. I think Ember is trying to figure out which one you are. One things for sure, she hates Half Moon. I know she doesn't trust Brady- as her guard, we need her to trust us.

This will be fun.

Heading to the kitchen, Luna Queen Elizabeth shot over, she handed me a huge plate of food before forcing me to sit down.

I'm forced to sit beside Ember who clearly doesn't like it. Lola is sat with her parents while Zen is sat opposite us.

"So, have you picked out your dress for the ball yet mija?" Luna Queen Elizabeth asked Ember as she picked at a slice of toast.
