"No, please don't!" A researcher begged as a voidrangers reaver walked closer to her

The reaver readied its blades as the researcher closed her eyes and prepared for the end while crying

But the stab never arrived. Instead the sound of metal slicing through metal was heard, and a loud bang of something heavy hitting the floor

When she opened her eyes, she saw the head of the voidrangers along with its body on the ground

"You have a thing for saving people, don't you?" It was hard to discern the opinion of the hacker on this as her voice always sounded lazy and uncaring

"Do you have a problem with that?" Jack kept running and saving any researchers he finds from certain doom

"Not really. We Stellaron Hunters don't care about that" Another door opened meaning a new direction

"So you're happy just as long as I follow the 'script'?" The door revealed more researchers running away from a voidrangers trampler

"I don't really care much for the script. Being a stickler for the script is more of Kafka's thing. I'm just tagging along with them and doing the missions that I'm told" the trampler raised its right hand and summoned multiple antimatter pillars to attack the Ghostrunner

"Tagging along?" Jack swiftly dashed multiple times to avoid the pillars and threw three shurikens at it

"We can get into the untapped potential of my strangely uneventful backstory later" This sentence certainly confused Jack and Rahu, but they had more pressing matters

Jack used his gap-jammer to grapple at the trampler, using one of his shurikens as a grapple point

"You want your... backstory to be... eventful?" The trampler attempted to draw its bow and fire at Jack, but it wasn't fast enough

"Heck yeah, it builds character development" Jack landed on the ground along with the decapitated body of the trampler

"What?" Jack's and Rahu's confusion only grew as the conversation went on

Two baryons suddenly appeared, each summoning a voidranger eliminator

Jack threw three shurikens in quick succession at two of the baryons and the neck of one of the eliminators, destroying each

"I gotta ask, where do you keep getting all of these shurikens from? Like I've been watching from the security cameras and I don't see where you're storing them. I doubt you're pulling them out of your inventory" Silver Wolf brushed off Jack's confusion and changed the topic

Jack quickly dashed at the last eliminator, splitting it into two

"That's for later" A relatively large door opens, revealing yet another elevator

"Well the good thing is, you're close" A short static sound indicates that the communication line has been cut

"Should we really ally with the Stellaron Hunters, Rahu?" Jack hesitantly stood in front of the elevator, awaiting either affirmation or refutation

"During my time with the Asura, I hurt a lot of people that did not deserve to be hurt. I trust your judgement to make the best choice" There was a short silence as the two contemplated their next action

"I will talk to them and find out their intentions. We'll plan our next action after that" Jack steps into the elevator and watches as a floor was automatically selected
