Chapter 15

Ellie has woken up at 3:30AM. She sits up and feels thirsty. She walks out of Rey's room and walks down the stairs into the kitchen.

She gets a can on coke from the fridge. Before she can crack it open she sees someone with red hair sat on the back porch. She knew it was Red.

She grabs another can out of the fridge and walks out to the porch. Red looks up at her. Red smiles as Ellie sits down, Ellie then hands Red the drink.

Red: thanks

Ellie: it's alright, what are you doing up at this time?

Red: couldn't sleep properly without Chloe, why are you up?

Ellie: got thirsty, how are you and Chloe doing?

Red: we're doing great. got our first proper date tomorrow, i'm nervous about it

Ellie: that's natural

Red looks at Ellie.

Red: was you nervous about your date with Rey earlier?

Ellie: of cource i was. but once we were where Rey was taking me, i calmed down and i wasn't nervous anymore.

Red: how wasn't you nervous anymore?

Ellie: because after a while i remembered who i was with, and once you know the person you love is with you then all your nerves kind go away.

Red: but what if the nerves don't go? does that mean i don't love Chloe?

Ellie: of cource not Red, if anything it just means that you care and you want everything to be perfect. it doesn't mean you don't love them.

Ellie puts her hand on Red's shoulder.

Ellie: your date with Chloe is going to go great, i know it.

Red: thanks Ellie

Ellie: it's alright, now go try get some rest

Red nods. The pair inside and up the stairs.

Ellie: night Red

Red: night Ellie

They walk into the rooms they came from. Ellie walks into Rey's room and lays down next to him. She rests her head on his chest as she falls back to sleep.
