Serene’s POV

I splash cold water on my face to help the redness go away.

Looking through my wardrobe I try to look for something presentable.

Fortunately I found a summer dress.

It was a floor length cotton dress. It was a baby blue color which vividly resembles the pattern of water along. I wore it. Keeping my makeup to minimum. I put my hair half up in a bun and let the half down.

I go downstairs and make my way towards the dining.

I see everyone there except him.

I make my way to sit next my mother but Vance beat me to it

So I take a seat next to my father. He notice me sitting next to him and pats my head while smiling.

I smile sheepishly.

I hear the seat next to me shuffling and I look at my side to see Mason sitting.

My mind immediately goes to earlier and I can feel my cheeks heating up.

I still give him a smile. And he returns one back.
oh my god. I can't breathe. His smile oh god his smile.  And that dimple on the corner of his mouth

Snap out of it

Oh right

"Hey"  I say

"Hi" he replies

"So how was your experience"

"Hmm fine but I missed everyone here"

"Serene-" my father calls
"-Please shift to another seat. We need to talk with Niel."

"Yeah alright."

Ever since I lose interest in Niel I found out what a idiot I was to have interest in him.

But I also found that I was a bigger idiot to not notice his brother before.

I am about to get up and go sit between Vance and Mason but Mason shifts to left and sits beside Vance instead. So I shift to left.

Neil sits beside me. "Hey" he says

"Hi" I plainly reply.

Getting the hint he doesn't say anything.

We serve ourselves and everyone starts eating.
My father and uncle talk with Niel about his plan now. Asking if he wants to go abroad.
My mother and aunt backbitch about the main family. Vance and Mason talks a bit.

We're served dinner. I thank cassy, the maid who serves us and begin to eat as I notice everyone started before me.

There is prawns as starters and steak as main course.

I'm about to grab one from my plate when a hand slides the plate away.

Silence fall through the table.

Everyone watches as Mason takes the prawns on my plate and peels them one by one. And keeps the prawn back after peeling.

In about a minute he peels them all and then slides back the plate to me.
He takes a tissue to wipe off his hands and only then does he looks up.

Everyone is watching him. It's not a surprise that he took the prawns to himself but HE took the PRAWNS to himself. Mason Bianchi HATES prawns. He wouldn't even touch them.

He looks at me.

"Eat" he says clearly

Now the attention goes to me.

Suddenly the prawns look too interesting to eat. And everything snaps back to the lively environment.

I look up and I see aunt sapphire grinning ear to ear. Bad news.

Soon we all eat our meal and it's time for dessert.

The dessert is served to us.

And its....Mint choco ice-cream.

I glance at Mason to find him looking at me. We Both chuckle.

After everyone is done, the Bianchi stayed a bit. My father, uncle Nathan and Niel are talking in the study. My mother and aunt sapphire talk in the living while Vance and Mason are busy talking.

I decided to retire back to my room. About an hour later I hear the Bianchi's leave. I wash my face and go to sleep.
