A few months later...
Ishita glanced back at her own reflection in the mirror of her dressing table she stood against. She let loose of her hair that were tightened in a bun before clenched by a tight clutcher, touching up a slightly faded lipstick and dabbing on her compact slightly. She sighed deeply, turning back to get the time from the wall clock of her bedroom, only to quickly put on her earrings and taking a last glimpse of herself.
Suddenly the doorbell rang as she was quick to leave the room in a jiffy, unlocking the door quickly, as she found dushyant in front of her gaze. A wide smile was present on his face, his eyes lit up from the starlight of the night sky, as he presented a grand bouquet of peonies wrapped with a bow in front of her.
"happy anniversary!" he exclaimed cheerfully, bringing an instant smile on her face, accepting the flowers graciously.
"thank you!" replied ishita back joyously as she smelled the flowers and lightly brushed her fingers across the petals of the flower on top of the bouquet.
Only for her to look back up to him with an exaggerated frown on her face.
"aap late hai waise!" rebuked ishita faking her anger jokingly, which was apparent to dushyant who still decided to play along anyways.
Dushyant followed along ishita inside the house to the living room after locking the door.
"hmm...woh toh hai...par mujhe lagta hai aap mera gift dekh kar gussa bhul jayengi..." remarked dushyant playfully, making ishita turn back to face him, as ishita raised her brow at him.
Dushyant slightly chuckled as he presented a red box in front of her seemingly containing jewellery, only to open it to reveal a set of two diamond bracelets.
Ishita was pleasantly surprised glancing at them, as she looked at him with a delighted face.
"yeh toh bahaut sundar hai!" exclaimed ishita in awe, as dushyant only smiled.
"3 mahine pehle se diye hue hai banne ko...hona toh chahiye inhe..." remarked dushyant, as ishita was touched.
"aap bahaut sweet hai pata hai! par dushyant...yeh mehenge honge bahaut!" expressed ishita a myriad of emotions in a minute, going from touched to concerned quite quickly, as dushyant pulled her closer by her wrist, looking deeply into her eyes.
"tum toh anmol ho...phir toh yeh bahaut saste hue na tumhare saamne?" replied dushyant back, as ishita looked down with her flushed cheeks, biting her lip, unable to think of what to say.
He gently touched lifted her face up by her chin, as their eyes locked again.
"pehena doon?" requested dushyant softly, as ishita nodded in agreement, as he smiled slipping in tenderly the bracelets onto her wrist.
"thank you so much...bahaut khoobsurat hai..." appreciated ishita, only for dushyant to cup her face and kiss her on the forehead.
"yeh toh bas chamkeeli hai...bahaut khoobsurat toh tum lag rahi ho..." stated dushyant, as ishita smiled and looked down.
"chale phir? as promised, tumhare favourite restaurant mein dinner..." offered dushyant, forwarding his hand, as she slipped her onto his for acceptance.
"bilkul!" responded ishita, as they both walked out from the house, hand in hand.

The high ceilings, adorned with intricate Victorian moldings, echoed with the soft murmur of conversations. The air was thick with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the tantalizing scent of food. Outside the large, arched windows, the bustling cityscape of Delhi was a distant blur. The restaurant's interior was a blend of classic and contemporary, with vintage chandeliers casting a romantic light on the dark, polished wooden tables. A grand piano stood in one corner, its polished surface reflecting the soft illumination.
Ishita and Dushyant were in the middle of a charming and idyllic exchange when they were served with the dessert to conclude the four course meal.
"thank you." addressed dushyant the waiter with a smile, as he turned to ishita with excitement when the waiter left.
"wow! matka kulfi! dushyant, aap mere bp badha rahe ab bas, kitna bill aane waala hai!" grumbled ishita, as dushyant only sighed in disbelief, moving closer to her, taking her hand into his.
"phir toh iss surprise ke baad tumhe hospital le jaana padega!" retorted dushyant jokingly, as ishita looked dazed.
She only raised her brow questioningly at him, only for him to place an envelope in front of her.
"dekho, khol ke...saare jawab mil jayenge..." remarked dushyant, as ishita complied immediately, only to return an astonished glare at him.
"dushyant...yeh..." uttered ishita out of speechlessness, only for dushyant to continue.
"saal hogaya humari shaadi ko, main tumhe kabhi bahar ghoomane leke hi nahi gaya...ab yeh toh galat baat haina? theek karna tha isse, bas...ab agle hafte jab long weekend aa raha hai, toh acha mauka nahi hai?" replied dushyant as ishita could only look at him in awe, as he just looked on.
"arre kuch bolo bhi!" exclaimed dushyant to lighten up the air.
"kya hi bolon! aap...itna sab...koi zaroorat nahi thi dushyant...main khush hoon aapke saath waise hi..." stated ishita, as dushyant chuckled.
"arre baba toh ab aur khush hojao, usmein kya burai hai!" joked dushyant, as ishita couldn't help but break into a chuckle, making dushyant smile too.

Kavin paced back and forth around his bedroom looking utterly anxious. Only for purvi to arrive as the bathroom door opened for her to come outside. Kavin looked at her with concerned, as purvi gave nothing away from her gaze when it met with his.
"so? kya result aaya?" asked kavin eagerly, as purvi smiled back at him.
"i'm pregnant.." informed purvi joyously, as she let the news simmer in.
Kavin was left astonished at first, only for a minute later to give purvi a tight hug, as she embraced back tightly. Only for them to separate with ecstatic smiles.
"i can't believe it!" exclaimed kavin, as overwhelmed, he seated himself on the bed, while purvi sat alongside him.
"i can't either...honestly..." replied purvi, as a tear escaped her eyes while she smiled through it.
Kavin met her glance with an elated face, as he grabbed her hand and leaned forward to kiss her forehead.
"this is...exciting...scary...but..exciting..." stated kavin, as purvi couldn't help but nod in agreement, only for a thought to strike her head.
"kavin! mere 7th month mein exams honge!" informed purvi, as kavin sighed in disbelief.
"achi baat hai...aadhi se zyada pregnancy padhai karogi toh kya genius bacha nikalogi!" joked kavin, as purvi glared at him.
"kavin!"
"purvi!"
"seriously yaar, apne andar ke topper ko thoda araam dedo, bas pass hone ke liye bhi padhne ka alag hi maza hota hai, trust me!" rebuked kavin, as purvi couldn't help but sigh deeply.
"tumhara DNA kaafi hai usse mediocre student banane ko! main college bhi jaungi aur padhai bhi karungi puri...doctor, engineer banne layak bacha hona chahiye hai!" remarked purvi, as kavin just shook his head in disbelief, averting his glance to her stomach.
"beta apni maa ki baat zyada nahi sunni! inki yeh teacher waali harkatein khandaani hai, zyada seriously nahi lena! papa ki baat sunoge sabko cool lagoge!" joked kavin, as purvi was annoyed.
"haan, bahaut kuch ukhad liya cool banke!" exclaimed purvi, as kavin smirked slightly, playfully hitting her shoulder with his.
"kyun! tumhe pasand aana nahi hai badi baat..." teased kavin, as purvi couldn't help but chuckle.
"hum dono ki achi baatein aani chahiye baby mein..." responded purvi, touching her stomach, as kavin nodded in agreement.
"zaroor aayengi..." assured kavin as he bent down to kiss her abdomen, gently placing his hand onto her hand that rested there.
And just like that, the start of hopeful and idyllic dreams for the future began to take place.
