Poland POV
As we awkwardly stood next to each other Germany grabbed my hair and moved it back to the side. I instantly felt how I was blushing. "What are you doing?" He just looked straight into my eyes.
"I'm sorry. But you don't need to cover it. I think it makes you look strong." And there was this silence again. "Look. I'm sorry for what my father did to you. I still can remember how I brought you food so you wouldn't starve and stuff but my father has changed. Since he is now a dead soul he is mostly just working but please don't look at me in the way you look at my father."
When he said that all the terrible memories came back. How his father cut off my wings and they never grew back. The freedom that was taken away from me and the arguing about who gets to keep me. Or the plan to just cut me in half so both get the same amount.
That's where I got the scare from. I just looked down as the memories came back. "You're right. You're not like your father but I still can't just change my mind about your father." My eye started itching so I started rubbing it.
After the itch got away I looked at Germany. He just looked shocked. "What's with the reaction?" He just smiled genuinely. "I just knew that you had one green eye. Your lense fell out."
I got embarrassed so I tried to change the topic. After picking my lense up I looked at the stairs. "We wanted to play some board games right? Let's get your brothers then!" He agreed.
we went upstairs and knocked on the first door. It was the room of Austria. "I forgot to tell you that your school will be open again in three days. I got your message because the principal made a mistake. What do you want?"
Austria was a direct person. He seemed like he didn't like to waste time. "Uh- Just wanted to ask if you want to join us. We want to play some board games."
Austria looked at Germany with an emotionless face. And I thought Germany was like this all the time. "It's been so long since we played something like this. I'm in." He smiled for a split second and walked out of the room.
"Swiss?! Come here we are going to play a game!" Switzerland came running. "Really? Like Car Draft?" Germany chuckled. He wasn't anything like in school. "No, a boarding game."
Switzerland's excitement didn't drop. It seemed like it was rising. "Amazing! How about Monoplix?" Germany and Austria looked at each other and nodded.
After we made it to the salon we sat on the floor. Monopolix knew everybody so there was no explanation needed. We just laid out the money and started playing.
The time went by after playing many games and talking about sports. Sadly the thunders just seemed to be getting louder and louder which meant that I needed to stay. "Okay. I think it's bedtime." Austria said.
He was right. All four of us seemed to be tired. "Poland you can sleep in the guest bedroom." Germany said. That's when I realized that I had nothing to sleep in. "Thank you. Uh- Do you guys have maybe something to change by any chance?"
"I don't think so. Maybe Deutschland could borrow you something?" Austria looked at his brother. "Sure. I could do that." Germany just seemed to be nervous when Austria was looking at him.
He stood up and offered me his hand to help me up. I denied the offer feeling slightly uncomfortable taking it in front of his family. We went upstairs to his room.
It was clean and everything seemed to be in place. Unlike my room, he had no posters or colorful lights. Just a warm tone of light and many wooden decorations. He had many plants and one of his walls was black. I liked it.
He opened up his wardrobe and started to look for something my size. I started to snoop around. On a shelf, I found a photo of him and Russia. They were smiling and waving to the camera. "It's an old picture. It was taken when our fathers got pretty close."
