Poland POV
Hungary called me twenty times already and my phone was on silent mode. He would be mad. I started calling him to let him know that I was fine. he luckily answered the phone.
"Where are you?! You know that tomorrow is Vatican's birthday! You promised to help me with the surprise! How could you lie to me?"
"I basically didn't lie to you. I'm still going to help! And something came up. I will bake the cake when I'm back. You prepare the decoration and stuff and then we can go to Russia."
"Okay. But let me know when you change plans. You know that I'm always concerned."
"I'm okay. I was in good hands."
"Okay then see you later."
He hung up. I was relieved that he wasn't that mad. I started to go slower and I stopped near the grocery shop. I went inside and took all the ingredients for the cake. This would be quick but hopefully Vatican won't be mad that we are going to Russia's party.
When I got home Hungary hugged me. He doesn't do that often so he must've been really concerned. "Sorry." I hugged him back.
"You're lucky. Vatican won't be here tomorrow he is with others on a business trip." That shocked me. Vatican wasn't any businessman but it seems like he does much more than reading the bible.
"For how long? And why couldn't you tell it to me earlier? I already bought all the stuff!" He just shrugged with his shoulders. "He just called me after I hung up. He said around two years?"
"Two years?!" I mean he was like a father to us but it meant that we could finally have some guests over. "Yeah. He grinned and then we both got excited and started to plan our free time.
"WE COULD MAKE A PARTY!" Said Hungary. "OR BETTER! A SLEEPOVER!" This is how it went for the next couple of hours. We just screamed our ideas out loud.
"Okay but where have you been?" Hungary asked after we stopped yelling. "Eh- With Germany?"
He looked at me with confusion raising one eyebrow. "Okay, I didn't mean it seriously when I said that you are crushing on him and I didn't think you were serious about me being scared about your thoughts."
He smiled. "You're disgusting." When he said that I knew of what he was thinking about.
"Dude! I am NOT into him. And you're the disgusting one thinking that I would think about something like that!" With every word I said I just sounded louder and more unsure.
"Right..." He just laughed. "Unlike you, I don't think about him like that like you do about Romania." You could see how he was now getting uncomfortable. "You're wrong. Between him and me is nothing going on."
I rolled my eyes. "Want to know what Japan will think about it?" I took out my phone and started to wave with it slowly. "Don't you dare." He glanced over at me with a death stare.
"Just joking." I put the phone away. "By the way, I think that you're related to Austria."
He almost fell off his seat when we sat down in the kitchen at the table. "Why do you think that?" I looked at him to make sure that they looked similar. "You are very alike. When I was talking to me I always thought about how similar you guys look."
He didn't say anything. "And he is adopted like we are." He started to look like he was deep in thought. "It must be a coincidence." He simply said and went to the fridge to get some orange juice.
"What have you got for Russia?" He reminded me of the paper I had put in our room. "Some vodka. You?"
"Same." With that, our conversation ended and I went to bed. I opened an unread message from an unknown number that popped out. It was a photo of me and Germany on the couch. It was definitely Switzerland.
I stared at it for five minutes. "Oh! And you want me to tell that you're not into him?" Hungary sneaks up to my side. "What? No!" He laughed.
"My brother is homo!" I threw a pillow at him like always but I missed. He started to laugh even more. I took a familiar journal from under my pillow. "Oh really? Guess to who this book belongs to."
He looked at it and tried to snatch it away from me but luckily I held onto it hard enough so he couldn't grab it away. I stood up and opened a random page and held it up.
"Dear Diary. Today I tried to get closer to him. I needed to copy some notes and since we sat next to each other I took his notes and started copying them. He tried to annoy me by grabbing them away from me but I saw that he wouldn't actually care if I would copy his notes. Maybe he is trying to get my attention as well?-"
"Stop it! That's not how I even write things down!" He wasn't lying but I just wanted to get him mad. He tried to reach after his journal
I finally decided to close it and give it back to him. He immediately snatched it away from me the second I closed it.
"Could you cut my hair short?" Hungary put his journal on the night table. "That's random? And how do you want to cut it? I thought it meant something to you?"
I untied my hair and went through it with my hands. "Hair holds memories and I don't want to remember them anymore. And it's just hair, it'll grow again with new memories."
Hungary had also pretty long hair but I knew that he wasn't a big fan of cutting it. "Sure, why not it's not like we have anything better to do."
"But make it quick, because we still have a party tonight!"
He started cutting my hair and I just hoped that he wouldn't mess it up because we don't have the damn money to afford a haircut! But at the same time, I was wondering what I would look like with short hair again.
