MICHELLE
Ten weeks pregnant I am. I am a waddling duck. But, I feel SO much better than I felt in the beginning of this pregnancy. Now, the only thing that Bryce has to contest to is my voracious appetite for weird and exotic foods. I would eat BBQ potato chips with a sour dill pickle, or vanilla ice cream with peanut butter. My favorite thing to eat was caviar on wheat toast bread with a large glob of mayonnaise on the side. As I sat alone in the living room of Romany, I was becoming more and more hungry. I knew that after I left here, I had to go and get me something to eat. I had eaten ALL of those things earlier, but I was still hungry. I had gained over forty-five pounds with this pregnancy. Bryce's baby girl was giving my body a complete overhaul. She had kicked me throughout most of the night last night. Bryce did his duty as a husband, rubbing my belly and staying up late with me and talking to my stomach as if she could hear him in there. I smiled at that thought as Selita entered the living room. Her long silky hair was pulled back in a ponytail, as she wore a blouse, jeans and some sneakers.
"Hey, Michelle," she greeted me, as she walked over and sat down on the couch beside me. "I have just been getting used to this big ass house here. What's up, girl?"
"Selita," I started. "There is something that I wanted to talk to you about. Are we alone?"
"Alone as as in HOME alone?"
"Yeah," I nodded my head.
"Oh, yeah, girl. Romeo is at office, Aarik is at a meeting about that gossip rag of his and that boy Trey is at a photo shoot. By the way, why IS he here? I asked Romeo, but he brushed me off."
"Well, if your own son didn't want to tell you, then it's not my place to tell you, Selita," I sighed. "Besides, I have something else to talk to you about."
"Well, then spit it out, Michelle. What is it? Did that Alicia say something about me?"
"Alicia," I scoffed. "Why would Alicia be talking to me about you?"
"I just figured by now she would have told you," Selita smirked.
"Told me what, Selita," I asked her.
She sighed, "In due time, Michelle. In due time. For now, tell me, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"
"I wanted to talk to you about Romeo's paternity," I told her. She just stared at me. "I KNOW."
"Know what?"
"I know the truth about Romeo's paternity," I said. "I know that Evander Wilson was NOT Romeo's father."
"And, how do you know that, Michelle?"
I stared at her, as I thought back to that night...
"Braxton Carter, it is TIME," Dana said in an adamant tone. "If you are worried about me, don't be. I have made my peace with this a long time ago. Hell, I made my peace with the fact that you ran over there that night to protect HER and wound up shooting her husband. You are my husband and I love you. You love me. That doesn't change the fact that you have a son with another woman."
