Our dearest society says,
You are a girl
Be in your limits
Who are they to tell us
What are our limits
Are they our parents ?
Our society says,
You are a girl
Behave like a girl
With soft and polite voice
Standing quietly without any sound
In a corner of the room
Why?
Girls are not meant to be so soft
They can come out of the crowd
And give a speech to all people out there
They are not shy,
They are confident and brave.
Our society says,
You are a girl
Dress like a girl
Wear the traditional dress
Why?
Can't she wear the clothes
In which she is comfortable
If she is comfortable with jeans and top
Let it be!
If she is wearing backless in parties
Let it be!
Because it makes her happy
She is obsessed with herself
She is wearing that,
Not because of showoff or body-showing
But because she likes it.
Our society says,
You are a girl
You can't make any decisions of your own
Neither for yourself nor for your family
Why?
She can make her own decisions.
Who are you to interfere with?
She is a grown up
And knows what's wrong and right
She is a responsible person.
It's her thought, her way to lead her life.
She is not anyone's slave.
She is an independent lady.
Free to think and express her views
And implement them in her life.
