♫   Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)---  Kate Bush   ♫

Two women stood in front of SSA Aaron Hotchner's desk. A dull, serious look on one of the women's faces, a nervous one on the others. It had been a surprise to the man to walk into work, the place quiet as it usually was this early in the morning, only to find a short blonde and a tall redhead standing by his office door.

Despite his confusion he tried to remain formal, asking the women who they were and how he could help them. He received two official CIA badges being discreetly shoved in his face as a response.

So now he sat in his important chair facing the women who refused to sit down once he did.

"We apologise for the unexpected visit, but we really didn't have a choice in the matter." The first words spoken came from the redhead, Felicity White, he had noticed from her badge.

"I understand, but why exactly are you here?" His eyebrows furrowed as he silently assessed the redhead, hoping to find the hidden meaning behind her tone because although what she said had sounded friendly enough the bitterness in her voice was evident.

The blonde, Lilly Brown, stepped forward slightly, directing Hotchner's attention. "Look, we would like to make this go as smoothly as possible-".

"But you're not getting a choice in the matter so you're just going to have to deal with it." Felicity interrupted, her harsh tone cutting through her partner's gentle one.

The man stood up, not liking how attacked he was feeling. "If there is a point to this, now would be the time to get to it otherwise I have more important things to be doing."

"The CIA, as you know has been dealing with a lot of different things over the years, and a lot of different kinds of people. A majority of the people we deal with are simple to sort out. But others not so much. We have to find places for the people who we have special interests in."

The blonde's gentle tone did not help the feeling creeping into Aaron Hotchner's throat. The team had been having a lot of days off, the serial killers had just settled down for a while.

So having people from the CIA in his office talking about 'people they have special interests in' was concerning, because all he was reading from the conversation was that they wanted something.

"You and your team are going to be responsible for one of these people."

Hotch stood, face blank as he tried to process this news, it was so sudden and so... and so, not in his job description.

"As far as I'm concerned my team's job is to profile, not babysit, who authorized this?"

"Listen," The blunt voice of the redhead spoke. "This is over all of our heads, hell it was above your boss's head."
