It was a crisp autumn evening, and the golden hues of the setting sun filtered through the Ayanokōji home. Kiyotaka sat in his usual spot on the sofa, a book in hand, while Arisu rested beside him, sipping tea and enjoying the serene quiet. The calm atmosphere was interrupted by the sound of Yuki's footsteps approaching the living room.

"Mom? Dad?" Yuki called, her voice carrying a mix of nervousness and excitement.

Kiyotaka glanced up from his book, his sharp eyes softening as they met his daughter's. "What is it, Yuki?"

Arisu set her cup down, a gentle smile on her lips. "You seem like you have something on your mind."

Yuki hesitated for a moment, her hands fidgeting. She was rarely nervous, but this moment felt monumental. Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward and stood before them.

"I... I have some news," she began, her voice trembling slightly.

Arisu tilted her head, her smile widening. "What kind of news?"

Yuki's cheeks flushed pink, and she clasped her hands together. "I'm... I'm going to have a baby."

For a brief moment, the room was silent. Then Arisu's eyes widened, her smile blooming into pure joy. "Yuki! That's wonderful news!" she exclaimed, reaching out to take her daughter's hands.

Kiyotaka, ever calm and composed, set his book aside. His gaze softened as he stood, stepping closer to Yuki. "A baby," he said, his voice low and thoughtful. "You're starting your own family."

Yuki nodded, her eyes glistening with happy tears. "Haruto and I talked about it for a while. We're both ready, and we're so excited... but I was nervous about telling you."

Arisu gently pulled Yuki into a warm embrace. "You had no reason to be nervous, sweetheart. This is a beautiful moment, and we're so proud of you."

Kiyotaka placed a hand on Yuki's shoulder, his expression unreadable for a moment before a rare smile broke through. "You'll be a wonderful mother, Yuki. And if you ever need advice—or anything else—we'll be here for you."

Yuki let out a small laugh, brushing away her tears. "Thank you. That means so much to me."

Arisu pulled back slightly, her silver hair catching the light as she beamed at her daughter. "Do you know if it's a boy or a girl yet?"

Yuki shook her head. "Not yet, but Haruto and I don't mind either way. We just want the baby to be healthy."

Kiyotaka nodded in approval. "That's the right mindset. Take things one step at a time."

The three of them sat together, talking excitedly about the future. Arisu shared stories about raising Yuki, while Kiyotaka offered his calm, practical advice on how to navigate the challenges ahead.

As the evening went on, the room filled with laughter and love, the promise of a new chapter in their lives bringing them closer together.

And as Yuki looked at her parents, she knew that no matter what challenges came her way, she could face them with their unwavering support.
