Nadia wakes up in her bed the next day smiling. After the date with Quincy he dropped her off back home because he had to wake up early to go to work. She gets up out of her bed and puts the vase of roses in the window so they can get some sunlight. She checks her phone and goes on the gram. She sees that she got a bunch of likes on her recent post and a bunch of comments. Everyone was congratulating her and showing much love. She goes to her dm's and sees a reply from Dayquan.

She replied and then deleted his messages. She put her phone down turned on some music and got in the shower. After she was done she put on a crop top and biker shorts and some slides. She put her hair in a messy bun and heads downstairs. Her mom is sitting on the couch drinking coffee.
"I'm surprised you're still here I was expecting you to be on the first flight back to Beijing" Nadia says while grabbing oat milk from the fridge
"Nadia please don't start today" her mom replies
Nadia nods and makes a iced vanilla chai latte with oat milk. She cleans up her mess and then heads outside to sit on the porch and enjoy the sun. Her mom follows her and sits on the chair opposite to her.
"When do you start college?" she asks
"Next Tuesday" she says as she sips her latte
"Okay well your brother is in a mental health facility and he won't be getting out anytime soon. I'm selling the house so I think it would be easier for you to either live on campus or get your own apartment. I will help you get a car and help you with the apartment if that's what you want. I put a couple thousand dollars in your savings account and I will occasionally send you a couple hundred dollars a month. I'm moving to Beijing permanently at the beginning of October."
"Okay Ill get an apartment, since I'm going to Temple I want an apartment close or even in center city, as for my car I want a jeep or a Benz. I want it to be all black." she replies
"Okay I love you Nadia"
"I love you too mommy"
Nadia heads inside and to her room. She hops on her laptop and starts looking for apartments. She finds this nice two bedroom one and a half bathroom bi level apartment for $1.8k a month. She sends it to her mom and then she starts looking for furniture. After shes done she goes down to her moms room and sits in the chair next to the bed. Her mom has already started packing.
"Are you taking anything from your room?" she asks
"Yeah my furniture, all of it so you don't have to worry about anything. My room is gonna be spotless" she replies
"Okay good"
"Can I ask why you decided to move there because I know its not just about a job"
Her mom sits down next to her
"I am moving there because of Malorie"
"As in your best friend Malorie?"
"Yes Nadia her and I have realized that we are in love with each other and I want to be with her. Both you and your brother are grown now and I don't have to baby sit. I just want to live life. I know I haven't been there for you baby girl and its because I was afraid of raising you and you end up like me. There are a million things that you don't know about me and I don't think that you are ready for that yet but you will learn soon my sweet innocent baby."
Nadia tears up
"I've always just wanted you to see me mommy that's it." Nadia replies
"I know my love and I will be there from now on I promise. Ill only be one call away and also I want you to come to our wedding in New Zealand. I'm flying to Beijing to help her move since its illegal for us to be married there. We will officially be in New Zealand by mid November and the wedding is set for March or April."
"Okay mommy Ill be there also I have a boyfriend named Quincy he officially asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday and Im so excited for this new chapter in my life"
"I'm so proud of you sweetie but don't get caught up okay boys and men can be a distraction, stay on track"
"I know mommy I love you so much"
"I love you too, we will go look at the apartment today around 2 pm"
"Okay"
Nadia gets up hugs her mom and then heads to her room to pack her clothes in boxes. A couple hours pass by and her and her mom arrive at the apartment. The realtor is outside the apartment.
"Hi welcome Miss. Blue I'm Shannon Pierce" she says smiling
"Hi nice to meet you, this is my daughter Nadia she will be living her for a time at Temple" her mom replies
"Oh that's great I'm an alumni and my daughter and son are currently in their sophomore year. Also temple students get a 35% discount on rent."
"That's awesome" Nadia says
They all walk inside of the apartment and she shows them around. The apartment includes a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a patio. The bedrooms are spacious and the main bedroom has its own bathroom with a double sink and a walk in shower. The kitchen has an island and the living room and dining room are spacious as well. When you walk in you are on the second floor and that's where the kitchen, living, dining and half bathroom are. When you walk downstairs that's the living space and where the washer and dryer are.
"I love it" Nadia says
"Okay" her mom replies
"Okay so do you want to sign the papers now" the realtor asks
"Yes" her mom says
"Okay so there is a deposit fee of $1,599 up front, first and last months rent for the year which is going to be $2,470 since there is a 35% discount and rent is going to be $1,235 every first of the month and the latest you can get it in is by the 7th of each month. I usually give students a week to get the rent to me. How would you like to pay?" the realtor asks
"With a check from her bank" her mom says
Nadia signs off on the paper as well and then writes a check to the Landlady
"Okay so that is $4,069" Nadia says
"Yes and utilities are included with the rent" The landlady replies
"Great" Nadia says
"Enjoy your independence young lady" the landlady says with a smile
The landlady hands Nadia the keys and takes the papers and the check and leaves.
"Lets head back home so we can start moving you in"
They head back to the house and the movers are there, her mom opens the door and they head up to Nadia's room and grab all of her things and loads them in the truck they then head back to her apartment and an all black jeep is sitting outside with a pink bow on it. Nadia jumps up and down and hugs her mom. They put all of her belonging in her room and then head out. Her mom and her stand in the kitchen.
"So are you happy" her mom asks
"Yes mom thank you so much" she replies
"Okay well I love you and enjoy" her mom says and kisses her forehead and leaves
All of her furniture will be here tomorrow. She gets on Instagram and posts her keys in her hand with a caption that says "home sweet home". She calls Quincy
"Baby guess what?" she says excitedly
"What baby"
"I have my own apartment" she squeals
"Wow baby Im so proud of you" he replies equally excited
She continues to talk to him for a bit before hanging up and texting Mica and June in the group chat. They say that they are going to come over and help decorate. She heads to her room and puts her sheets and bedding on and falls asleep peacefully.
