NADIA'S POV
I wake up to my alarm blasting Kiss of Life by Sade. I turn it off and go to my bathroom to get ready for the day. I open a box of my clothes and throw on the first thing I see in there which is ball shorts and a tank top. I grab my phone and head upstairs and start cleaning the kitchen. I hear a knock at the door and its Mica and June with breakfast and a bottle of champagne.
"Oh my gosh guys you did not have to do this" I say
"Oh but we did girl like congrats" Mica says
"Period!" June says
They come in and set all the stuff on the island and we eat and then get to cleaning. Mica has her speaker and we play some old school R&B music. We start in the kitchen, then to the dining room, living room, bathroom and then head downstairs to the second bathroom. By the time we finish cleaning the furniture arrives. They come in and set up the couch and the bed and wardrobe for downstairs. I decided to get a big black L couch, a circle glass table with sage green chairs, black island stools and a big black and dark green rug for the living room. They also mounted my tv to the wall. After the movers left we plopped on the couch and let out a huge sigh. I looked at the time and it was 5 pm.
"Girl I'm sweaty and icky" Mica says
"Me too" I say laughing
"Oh my gosh girl I forgot to ask how was the date and also what does he look like?" June asks
"Okay y'all it went so good, he bought me a dress and told me when to be ready like the whole nine girl" I reply
I pull out my phone and show them a picture of him and I
"Girl gah damn y'all look good together" Mica says laughing
"Oh y'all are too cute" June says
I giggle
"But y'all I have some tea" June says
"Spill girl" Mica and I say in unison
"Okay so boom I started talking to this girl named Simone and y'all she is fine asf right but guess what?" she says
"What?" I reply
"She is Serena's cousin on her dads side" she says
"Oh my gosh what, how the fuck did y'all even meet and how-"Mica starts to say but June cuts her off
"Girl let me talk, so after Serena's mom cheated and took the kids Simone and her other cousins didn't see her for a while until your story went viral. I met her at a track meet a year back and we been talking ever since and recently made it official. I never mentioned that I knew Serena and as did she. So after she saw that she went viral she decided to try and talk to her because she said that that was her favorite cousin. When she went to reach out Serena snapped on her and ever since then they haven't talked and let me tell you it hurt Simone so she started telling me all the shit Serena has ever done and y'all its horrible" June says almost out of breath
OH MY GOSH! NO FUCKING WAY! I need to know!
"Okay so spill" I say
June ends up telling us how Serena used to lie on her family members about stealing and SA. Me and mica's jaw dropped like to the floor. She continues by telling us that not only did her mom cheat but her younger siblings have different dads. Her dads side of the family never liked her and they always spoke negatively about her and hated when she showed up to family events. Serena told us that her dad stopped speaking to her but it was the complete opposite, she cut off her father because in her words he is a "bitch ass nigga" and not worth her time.
"Oh my gosh that bitch is fucking crazy" Mica says
"You kinda sorta dodged a bullet Nadia" June says
"Yeah I guess I did because that bitch is the fuck crazy, I should've known when every time I moved she would beg her mom to come with me. When I was younger I thought it was so sweet but now I'm starting to think that she was running away from her problems and her mom allowed it" I reply
"Yeah and come to find out a couple of her mom's businesses have gone bankrupt" June says
"No fucking way" Mica replies
My jaw drops again
"The same businesses Serena used to brag about inheriting?" I ask
"Yes!" June replies
"Okay this tea was piping hot girl" I say laughing
"Yeah girl sorry to leave on that note but I have a date with Simone tonight and Mica has to go to a family birthday dinner" June says
"Okay thank you guys so much and I love y'all" I say walking them out
"We love you too girl be safe" They say and head out
I grab some packages off my porch, shut the door and lock it. I watch them from the window as they get in June's car and pull off. I open the packages and its posters, picture frames, pots for my plants, kitchen decor, pots and pans, utensils etc. I finish decorating my apartment and it finally looks like home. I light a candle that smells like warm vanilla. I head down to the second bedroom and decorate it. It's going to be a guest bedroom slash office. I head back to my room and check my phone for the time. It's now 8 pm and I'm starving. I call Quincy
"Hiiii baby how was work" I ask
"It was okay nothing too crazy" he replies
"I just finished decorating my crib and baby I did a great job it feels like home"
"That's great baby, how was your day?"
"It was very stressful and I'm hungry as hell"
"You didn't eat baby?"
"I ate this morning when June and Mica came over"
"Okay but that's it?"
"yeah"
"you get any groceries"
"No"
"Im gonna take you food shopping tomorrow"
"Aww thanks baby"
"No problem mamas, but I'm gonna send you some bread for dinner and then head to sleep okay I love you"
"I love you too"
He hangs up and sends me cash to doordash some dinner. I decided to get Chillis. As I wait for the food I take a hot shower and put on my pj's. After that I take the rest of my things out the boxes and put them away. The food arrives and I grab it and head back downstairs to my room to eat. After I finish I eat all my food I turn on CoryxKenshin and go to sleep.
