The Bell rings out through the station. It had been a relatively.....calm day. Only a couple calls mostly medical.

But this one. I don't know something about it made me worried.

"You coming buck?" Chin asked as he ran past me to the rig.

"Uh yeah."

"Chim! Hen! Start triage! Buckley! Diaz! Start evacuating everyone!" Cap gave orders, me and Eddie running into the burning apartment building.

It only had 2 stories and was made out of brick so not many should be hurt and it should be easy to get everyone out. Right?

"LAFD! We need everyone to evacuate!" Me and Eddie started to yell pounding on door. Most everyone was out to our knowledge just a few people still inside.

"Diaz, Buckley do you copy?" We heard cap through the radio. We stopped to answer him and hear what he had to say.

"We have news there's a deaf lady's on the top floor in apartment 7." We were already on the second floor so it was easy to get her out.

"Ok take her downstairs I'll meet you out side I'm gonna check the rest of the building." Eddie said before running off.

"Wh-! So much for sticking together." I grumbled as I helped the old lady out.

I had just handed her off the hen when there was an explosion above me.

"Is every one good?" Bobby yelled after a couple beats.

I started to look around making sure everyone was out. Hen, chim, lady, Bobby, guy. Wait.

"Where's Eddie?" I yelled quickly looking around before meeting Bobby's eyes as he started talking. "I thought he came out with?"

"No he stayed back to clear the building!" I put my hands on my head starting the panic a bit. "Oh my god he's still in there. We shave to go back in!"

"Ok buck calm down. I'll send chimney and John in to look for him. I just need you to calm down." Chin and John ran into the building, chin welding his medical bag.

Bobby put his hands on my shoulder as I worked on controlling my breathing. "Cap we got him! Where on our way out!" Chim yelled through the radio.

We all watched waiting for them to come out the door. When they did Chim and John had him in their arms. He was unconscious.

Hen helped get him on a stretcher and started to hook him up to the machines.

We were waiting in the hospital lobby for news on Eddie. Tommy had shown up a while ago. At least I think it was a while ago, I don't even know what time it is. It feels like we've been here for days just waiting for news about Eddie.

"Family of Eddie Diaz?" A doctor asked as she walked over to us.

"That's us." I said jumping up. To hear what she needs to say.

"He's in critical condition. He just got out of surgery. He's now in a coma."

"Wait? Surgery? What do you mean surgery" nobody said anything about surgery?

"Uh yes. He had some internal bleeding. There was some complications during the surgery. He was put into a medics induced coma so his body can heal better."

I couldn't hear what she said after that. Eddie was in a coma. What if he didn't wake up? I can't- I can't do this without him!

My hands started shaking and my legs felt like jello. "Evan?" I heard Tommy's voice before I collapsed, tears streaming down my face.

Eddie's hurt. Eddie's hurt. Eddie's hurt.

"Buck! Buck calm down breath! I got you!" Tommy kept repeating in my ear. It's not what I need. I need Eddie. He's not Eddie.

I started to push against his chest. "Your- not e-Eddie! I WANT EDDIE!" I began to scream.

I felt another pair of hands on my back before bobby started talking. "Buck! Buck! Calm down. Come here. Eddie's gonna be woken up tomorrow. Ok?"

Bobby now had me in his arms, my own wrapped around him. I sobbed in his chest, barely hearing his words.

He kept repeating comforting words to me till I calmed down. "You ok now?"

"No."

Sorry this kinda short. But at least I updated. I just haven't been motivated recently. I'll try to get back into writing again.
