When Autumn Leaves Fall

Rory's Social Problem, and Jess' Fight

~Ivey~

I just finished my lunch break when Rory came frantically running up to me.

"What put the pep in your step?" I questioned

"I was reading alone while I ate my lunch then Headmaster Charleston and the guidance counselor pulled me into the office because they are "concerned for me because I lack social skills" all I do is mind my business why do they care?" Rory exclaimed using air quotes

"they actually did that?" I said in disbelief

"Yes. God I wish we had the same lunch then I would've never had this problem!" She complained

"Ror , no offense but I don't think that would count, I'm your sister." I retorted

"Not helping, Ives" my sister grumbled

"We better get to history before we get detention" I told her in a matter of fact tone. She nodded and we walked off to class.

~3rd person~

It was a normal day at the diner, people coming in and out for burgers or coffee throughout the day. Grumpy Luke hasn't had too much time to be grumpy due to worrying about what Jess might get into.

Jess started school today and he doesn't have the best track record for behaving.

Luke wished Ivey was still going to school there to watch out for him, but at least they were sort of friends.

Lorelai wasn't too happy about their kindling friendship, especially after what they pulled the other night. She wasn't happy that they ditched and went for ice cream alone, but she kept her mouth shut for the sake of her daughter.

Ivey was finally interested in someone and her mother's opinion meant everything to her. Lorelai couldn't bring herself to ruin this for her.

Luke however, instead of being mad at them for ditching was glad his nephew was at least fitting in with someone. His thoughts were "Who better for Jess to get close with than my ray of sunshine".

Speaking of, Ivey just walked into the diner interrupting his thoughts.

"Lukey!"she greeted him with a cheerful hug

"Hey sunshine, I know it may be weird for me to ask this, would go by stars hollow high and find Jess? It was his first day today. I know I won't get nothing about it out of him but you might" he said

"Of course. I like Jess, Luke I really do. Don't think I'm just being his friend just for you" Ivey reassured

"That means a lot, Ives" he told her

"Well, I better go get him. I love you, grumpy"she smiles

"Love you kid" Luke replied

I stepped onto the grass in front of my old high-school and looked around to see if I could spot Jess anywhere.

All of a sudden I heard a large group of people start to gather on the lawn. I walked over and pushed through them to see what was happening.

Jess had some guy on the ground punching him. I froze not knowing what the hell I was supposed to do right now. Dean jumped in to try and pull Jess off of the guy but Jess kept swinging.

Dean and Jess met a day or two ago, let's just say they would never grab a drink together.
