Keefe POV:

In the kitchen, Keefe grabbed a few of the custard bursts and shoved them in his mouth.

Mmmm, Biana's cooking was getting better and better.

Just then, an urgent voice yelled, "Keefe! Come to Willowhaven! (keefe and sophie's house) Aurora needs you!"

"What? What's going on? I'm coming!" He tried to say, but his mouth was so full that it came out like, "Hut? Vouts goweng on? Im toming wup!"

Keefe turned to his Imparter and saw Biana's concerned face in the screen.

He nodded swiftly, put down the few slices of mallowmelt and leapt away.

As he reached his house and leapt up to the top of the stairs, he was greeted by a hysterically laughing Aurora and an extremely confused Zara.

"Uncle-Uncle Keefe. What-what's wrong with me? I-I can't stop!" Aurora managed to choke out through hiccups. Then, all of a sudden, her smile faded.

"What happened? Ouch, now it's just so much concern and worry hitting me, and it does NOT feel good, Uncle-Uncle Keefe." Aurora doubled over and clutched her stomach, groaning.

Concern? Worry? Keefe was definitely feeling both of them, but how did Aurora know? Unless...

"Everything's alright, Rora. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you. You...you're manifesting." Keefe knelt down beside her and draped an arm around the brunette.

"Manifesting? But I'm only..." Aurora held out her fingers to calculate, "11 years and 5 months old! But nobody manifests at such a young age! Are you sure, Uncle Keefe?" She looked doubtful.

Keefe laughed, "Well, technically, your Aunt Sophie manifested at 5, but we're not counting extraordinary elves, are we? Believe me, I'm right. You're manifesting as an Empath. I still remember how I laughed and cried at the same time when I did." He continued, "As an Empath, you can feel others' emotions when you make contact with them. Now that I explained, do you understand now, Rora?"

Aurora nodded hesitantly, but still looked really anxious, there had to be something bothering her.

"But...never mind."

"Yes? It's ok, you can tell me. I'm an expert in these kind of things." Keefe assured Aurora.

"Actually, when you entered the room...I could feel your emotions rippling across to me, sort of...but I didn't make any contact though. Is that normal?"

Keefe was taken aback, but didn't show it. "It only proves that you're unique." He said gently to Aurora, stroking her long hair. "It's actually pretty expected, given the special combination of Tam and Biana's abilities."

Aurora smiled bashfully, her cheeks turning pale pink.

"Thanks, Uncle Keefe."

Keefe got up, stretched and held out his hand for Aurora to take it, then remembered her ability.

"Never mind." He shook his head and glanced back at Zara, who was rooted in place. If she was from a comic, Keefe bet that she would have a large question mark on top of her head.

"Come on, Zara. Daddy will go back now, okay? Have fun with Aurora!" Keefe carried his daughter and kissed her cheek lightly before holding his crystal to the light and leaping away.

Of course, he didn't forget to give Aurora a knowing wink.

Biana POV:

"What is it?" Biana asked immediately when she saw Keefe.

"Aurora is an Empath! And she can feel your emotions without direct contact." Keefe announced loudly.

"Wow, really?" Biana exclaimed.

"That's kind of like you, Keefe. You can do it too, can't you?" Tam, who was silent, asked.

Keefe groaned, "That was ONLY because Mommy Dearest made you attack me with shadowflux which messed with my abilities. Buut, yeah, I can."

Just then, Biana got this really mischievous look on her face, "Ooh, I know! Since we have nothing to do, let's play Truth or Dare!

"On it. But it's more fun with more people, isn't it. I'm hailing the others now." Keefe whipped out his Imparter and hailed Linh, Fitz, Marella and Dex. (Stina and Maruca were not close friends with the Sencens and Vackers so they weren't invited)

To his surprise, all of the friends answered on the first hail. Their responses ranged from, "Squee!" to "I'm leaping right now," to "I'm bringing all the lushberry juice I have."

Soon, everyone arrived and they went upstairs to play the games.
