-Wake up dumbass.

Diluc's pillow strikes him from across the room. Kaeya was waken up roughly.

-what is it Diluc...

-Alice. She is back!

Kaeya jumped fully awake, pure enthusiasm in both siblings' faces. They got dressed as fast as possible and ran outside.

It was a perfect sunny day. The air was still cold from the heavy winter, but such days were a rare and delightful occurrence that part of the year.

The grass had gown out abruptly, reaching them knee height.
Kaeya grinned, lurking behind his big brother while he was bending down to pick up a dandelion.

Le lunged with a yell and threw them both down, headlocking his brother down on the grass.

-Gotcha!

Diluc acted pissed, but the glimmer in his eyes was unmistakable. As much as he had grown, he never stopped loving these moments between them, when they were just two kids again.

As he was bigger than his brother, he managed to wiggle out of his grasp and thurn them both around, shoving Kaeya's head into the grass face down.

As he was kicking and jerking to be freed, a woman approached.

-Hey hey! How are my boys!

The woman was dressed in red, a pointy hat on the side of her head, matching her pointy ears.
Diluc let go of his brother's hair, and Kaeya looked up too, spitting grass and dirt.

Both siblings' eyes lit up as they exclaimed together.

-Alice!
-Alice!

She laughed wholeheartedly and kneeled on the ground too, hugging them simultaneously.

-Klee and Albedo are waiting at home. You will come, right?

Diluc nodded and helped her on her feet again.

-of course! We want to see you, you were off for so long!...

Kaeya nodded in agreement, though it would be a lie to say that part of him didn't have another reason to be exited now...

Alice was like a mother to them. Or like a really really fun grandma.

They boys followed her all the way to her home on the woods, showering her with questions about her travels. She was more than happy to tell them everything.

Kaeya always loved going to their home. She had built it herself. She was a woman with great power nonetheless.

The house was shaped from tree roots and branches, tangling together and creating solid walls. The house had a small curve to it, but it only added to its charm. Alice had painted her door red and hang a little bell on it too. The smaller branches that grew out of the roof made natural shadow underneath, where the brothers used to spend the hottest days of summers.

It was almost like a dream itself. Kaeya's and Diluc's childhoods were filled with memories of playing all sorts of games in this yard, and Alice always treating them with delicious snacks that Kaeya wasn't sure he wanted to know the ingredients of.

Once again, they were there. He dusted off some grass from his shirt, courtesy of his big brother, and his eyes darted around, looking for a certain... someone.

The door slammed open, and a little blonde girl dressed as red as the door acreage with exitement at their arrival.

-Diluc! Kaeya!!

Klee, Alice's daughter, ran all the distance giggling before slamming onto the boys' legs and wrapping herself around their knees.

They all burst out laughing.
Kaeya had always found Klee adorable, like a troublesome little sister, while Diluc was simply unable to resist her whatsoever.
