"Don't you notice how
I get quiet when there's no one else around?"

"Red? Where are you dude? Can you come down from the mountain atleast once? I wanna talk to you..." I said with a long breathed sigh. Where is he? It's been years since he had stayed up there... I was taking a long break from the gym to check on him.

"Mhm?" I heard a sudden response to my enquiry. And then I saw him. He was standing ever so confidently at the edge of the cliff minding his own business. As we stared directly into each other eyes my heart felt like it was sinking in pain.

"Me and you and awkward silence
Don't you dare look at me that way
I don't need reminders of how you don't feel the same"

"Red... I brought some actual food for you. Uh... incase you felt like eating something else..." I held out a secure vacuumed skilled bag of miso soup for us to hopefully share.

With a recognisable nod, we headed to a nearby cave to eat. As we were getting ready to snack on the food, I could hear a cough from Red bringing me to his attention.

"Oh, the burning pain
Listening to you harp on 'bout some new soulmate
"She's so perfect, " blah, blah, blah""

"What are you actually doing here?" I hear a low fade mumble coming from him. It was not loud but recognisable to me. My heart sank deeper and deeper to the realms of no returned.

This awkward silence awoken me to atleast reply with something. It was getting on my nerves. This feeling. Why now?!

"I-I just wanted to see you again after a while... I can leave if you don't want me here..." I mumbled with a sigh.

"Why- why me? You have plenty of other people back in Vermilion. Why me?"

"I-I wanted to tell you something..."

"???"

"Oh, how I wish you'll wake up one day

"That when I talk to you oh, Luvdisc swims right through
And splash some water through my heart..." I finally confessed to me out of accidental. I knew there was no turning back now...

"And I sound like a loon, but don't you feel it too?
Confess I loved you from the start..." I finally confessed... HOLD ON I FINALLY CONFESSED!!I CONFESSED!!

"I-" he muttered while hiding a big red brush that was on his face. Does he not like me back? I ruined everything did I... IM A FOOL!

"Uh I- I'm sorry..."

"No, it's fine. I like you too..."

"WAIT HUH? REPEAT THAT AGAIN!"

"I like you back idiot. I am in love with you..." AM I IN A FEVER DREAM WAKE ME UP RIGHT NOW. I slapped myself. SHIT THIS IS REAL.

"What's a boy to do?
Lying on my bed, staring into the blue"

I stared at the ceiling holding a certain box in my hands. It's been a good two years after I confessed. Was I really going to pop the question? Is it too early? Well, if he declines I'm fine with it. But, it's big.

"Unrequited, terrifying
Love is driving me a bit insane"

This has to be perfect. We're going to Kalos soon to meet with a professor from there. It's the perfect location. The City of Love. It has to be perfect. I've already called in favours to set up everything. Am I going insane? Yes I am. But I have to... It's probably one of my only chance.

"Isn't the tower cool!" I enthusiasticly told my partner. Soon would be the moment. We were nearby the tower near the surrounding river. If I timed it correctly, soon the lights will turn on when I pop the main question.

I figeted with the box in my pocket.

It's showtime.

"???"

"Red... We've been together for 2 years now... I wanted to ask you a question..."

When I got down on my knee the lights flickered as I opened the box to him. He looked around in shock as we stared at eachother.

"Would you marry me?"

A pair of Luvdisc swam in unison in the river. Leaves fell from the nearby tree. The sun faded from red to blue. Lights lit up at the exact moment. Fireworks were launched into the air. Many bystanders watched in awe as we shared the kiss.

"Confess I loved you
Just thinking of you
I know I've loved you from the start"

Oh, Luvdisc is so dumb.
