Stuck on you

It was lunchtime and Cat was the first to get to the table. She sat down and began to eat her salad. Jade plopped down next to her startling her a little.

"Oh!" Cat squealed.

"Hey Cat." Jade deadpanned. "What's up?"

"Nothing." Cat stretched the word out as she searched  her mind for an answer.

"Uh huh" Jade wasn't buying it. Tori, Andre, Beck, and Robbie now joined them. "You were right Vega. Something's bothering our little Cat."

"What do you mean? Nothing is bothering me!" Cat crossed her arms.

"You've been acting like you're on another planet today Cat." Beck said. "Well, more than usual that is."

"Yeah tell us what's wrong Kitty Cat." Andre chimed in.

"I just have confusing thoughts in my head today that's all! Can't somebody be confused without getting the the fourth degree!" Cat was getting frustrated. Why was  everybody ganging up on her?

"Hey Cat," Robbie said "We just want to see what's bugging you. We're your friends we just want to help."

"It's about Sam!" Tori blurted out like she couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Oh." They all said in unison.

"What does that mean?!" Cat wanted to know.

"It's just, we understand about you and Sam, and your relationship." Tori struggled to get that out.

"What relationship? We're roommates and friends and business partners. We don't have relationships." Cat stood up now.

"Right." They all said in unison again.

"I think I'm done with lunch. Good afternoon." Cat picked up her tray and left.

"Are we really going to have to tell her?" Tori sighed.

"We might have to. It doesn't seem like she can put the pieces together" Andre said.

"Yeah, have you ever tried putting a jigsaw puzzle together with her? Torture." Robbie said.

"Maybe we should leave it alone." Beck said "If they're supposed to be together it'll just happen."

"How romantic." Jade smirked. "But that only happens in movies and tv shows. Sometimes people refuse to see  what's right in front of their faces. Somebody can misread feelings and mistake love for hate. Happens all the time." She stared at Tori.

Tori blushed and looked down.

Jade continued. "I think I have a way of getting those two together though. Vega do you still have that glue that Cat used on your face and made that mask stick to you?"

"Yes, and  the stuff to get it off too." Tori squinted at Jade.

"Good" Jade smiled.
