(No One's POV)
"Mr. Yoon?"
Words cannot describe the sheer shock that engulfed Mingyu when he saw Mr. Yoon behind the mask. The innocent Mr. Yoon, always bringing a smile to others, the same Mr. Yoon who brought cookies to Mingyu's birthday, who spoke on his behalf to Mr. Cheol, was the person behind this killing spree? It was beyond belief.
"This can't be real, Mr. Yoon. Please tell me you are being framed. I'll help you; just tell me. This is a lie!" Mingyu exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief, even yelling the last part.
Mr. Yoon looked at him, took a deep breath, and uttered only one sentence, "I'm sorry," looking down.
"But why?" Mingyu questioned, causing Mr. Yoon to meet his eyes. "Why? Out of all the people, why you? You are literally married to the Deputy Director of this state. Why do you need to take the law into your own hands?" Mingyu aimed the gun directly at Mr. Yoon.
"I don't have any other choice," Mr. Yoon said. "I wish I could tell my husband that his husband has been lying to him for years." He continued, "There must be a reason why you are doing this. Because you have everything that people yearn for – a stable job and a loving husband. What else do you need? Money? Or are you taking some sort of revenge?" Mingyu said the last part in a low voice before realizing, "This has to be some sort of revenge. Now, tell me why are you killing these people?" Mingyu yelled at Mr. Yoon.
Mr. Yoon was startled by Mingyu's change in behavior; Mingyu never talked to him in that manner. "You are right. I have everything that people ask for, except... a family," Mr. Yoon said, causing Mingyu to raise a brow in confusion. "It's not that I don't consider Cheol my family, but every family needs that little one that fills the entire house with their giggle, that becomes your everything. You know what I mean, right?" Mr. Yoon gave a smile to Mingyu and continued, "I also found one..."

"Cheol, how could you accept the offer without even considering it?" Jeonghan shouted at Cheol, who was on the other side of the phone, not caring about people staring since he was in a public park.
"Babe, I thought it would be good if we left this place. That's why I accepted the offer as Assistant Director to Sunnyvale. We could have a better future there, and we could also successfully apply for adoption without any issue, unlike here where your application barely passes because we are a gay couple," Cheol explained, trying to calm Jeonghan.
"You could have at least talked to me first? I get it, you were being considerate, but what about my ambitions and dreams?" Jeonghan yelled at Cheol.
"You can apply for a professor here as well," Cheol replied.
"And what about all the friends and family who live here?" Jeonghan clapped back.
"I mean, you could make new friends here as well, and we could visit our family whenever we want here," Cheol raised his voice a bit.
"But, Cheol, this is a decision that should be made by BOTH of us," Jeonghan said and hung up the phone without letting Cheol say anything else. Frustrated, he headed toward a chair and sat, not even noticing tears spilling from his eyes.
"Here, use this." Jeonghan looked at a pink bunny handkerchief in his vision and noticed a little girl, wearing a pink frock, probably around 7-8 years old, smiling at him. Jeonghan quickly wiped his tears away and smiled back at the girl.
"Sir, if you don't mind, I sit here," the girl pointed next to Jeonghan, and he nodded.
"Sir, here, use this. You are really pretty, and you don't look good when you cry," the little girl handed him the handkerchief. Jeonghan was about to wipe his tears off, but he was stopped by the girl.
