jerzey sandak, recognized the fighting style of the second berkut instantly, from the files he had ready
"lieutenant, pull your pilot back quickly, let's let him handle the twins" jerzey said
"what, just because they are using the same unit doesn't-" yui was cut off
"that second unit has a reputation, a rather impressive one at that, trust me, leave it to the phantom" jerzey said, he was confident the phantom could beat the twins, his intuition also told him to stay out of the phantom's way
"that phantom won't kill them, records show the phantom never kills humans, even when TSF's get in his way against his vendetta with the BETA" jerzey said, and he was right
the phantom was easily able to overpower the scarlet twins forcefully removing the coreblock, before jumping out of his own unit he recovered the unconscious inia sestina, before climbing back into his unit, as it began to walk away yuuya moved to stop him, but jerzey's unit stopped yuuya
"don't bother, you will simply end up like the 47E, this is an opportunity for us to finally confront the phantom, and recapture the SU-47" jerzey said, yui paused not liking this but ultimately agreed with sandak
a few hours later inia awoke in a medbay
"ah good morning, i am glad you are alright" i said
"who are you" she asked
"shinji ikari, is my name, though i have been called the phantom by TSF pilots" i said, her eyes widened
"why did you kidnap me" she asked, i paused
"think about what you just went through, miss sestina, i could not in good conscious allow you to be used any longer, your sister has a bit more maturity and can somewhat control her future, you are like rei in your innocence, an innocence i wish to protect, i am sure that your commanding officer will use this as an opportunity to capture me, but he is in for a nasty surprise" i said
"why" she asked
"the SU-47, is not my unit, my unit will be revealing itself very soon and it will tip the scales of power, of that i can guarantee, and i do not even need to be inside the unit to control it, though being in the entry plug does give me greater control then out" i said
"what happens now" she asked
"that is up to you, i can make preparations for you to be ferried off, into a new life, you can even sign up for any of the other militaries if that is truly your wish, i just don't want you to continue to be used for your 'unique' abilities" i said, i paused as ringing could be heard
"give me a moment" i said as i answered the phone
"hello..... yes, i am aware of my actions i will be revealing my hand very soon, i think it's time....... yes i know, which is why you are being informed now, as such, you should inform your sister, i will be leaving after it is complete......... i told you, i would not allow you to pull me into your conflicts, the BETA are my only concern........... no nation will allow the russians to have their ESPERs with the BETA out of the picture, they aren't stupid and know the ESPERs will tip the scale of power drastically.............. really, are you sure................ if your sure, then you are always welcome....... i guess i will see you soon" i said, as i hung up
"right now that i have taken care of that, i wonder who will get here first" i said, before returning my attention
"miss sestina, for now i would recommend resting and enjoying the peace you now have" i said, as i left the medbay
two days later the base was attacked
"miss takamura, welcome to my base" i said
"your using an abandoned base that was overrun by BETA i assume you cleared it out then set up shop" she said sword in hand, i gave her a nod
"well done, very correct" i said drawing my own katana
"why the berkut, why not steal one of our shiranui or takemikazuchi units" she asked
"the takemikazuchi, i would be given on a silver platter in fact it's likely i will be receiving two of them, as for the shiranui, that unit is still being designed and tested, the berkut has already entered active service, it was my best option" i said, as we crossed blades, and i began to lead her through my base, not that she was aware of it as we continued to duel, eventually i found myself surrounded by several TSFs
"well, it seems i have walked directly into a trap" i said
"stand down" yui ordered
"i think, it's time i revealed my hand" i said as i sheathed my sword, before slamming the sheath against the ground
"UNIT-01, STRIKE DOWN ALL WHO STAND WITHIN YOUR WAKE" i roared as the evangelion made it's appearance charging and attacking the TSFs, the evangelion dwarfed the TSFs with it's shear size
"let me introduce my unit, and the real reason i stole the berkut, this is provisional evangelion unit-01, my ace in the hole, and the solution to one of your problems" i said, as eighty meter tall evangelion stared the TSFs down, terrifying the group this was until a takemikazuchi unit appeared, it walked passed the evangelion, which didn't move to stop it, as it's pilot disembarked the unit
"by order of the shogun, japanese forces are ordered to stand down immediately" meiya mitsurugi ordered
"my lady-" yui started but meiya held up her hand
"commander, enough of this you have what you wanted" meiya said, i nodded
"i do" i said, as i walked towards my berkut, the SU-37UB moved to stop it, but was stopped again by EVA unit-01, as shinji mounted the berkut, and meiya returned to her takemikazuchi
"lieutenant takamura your with me, the rest of you return to yukon base, that is a direct order by the shogun herself" meiya said
they soon made their way towards a pyramid which was the true base of shinji ikari, NERV, once they were at the top of NERV, EVA unit-01 moved to the center taking the lance of longinus the ceremony began
"watch, lieutenant, watch the power of shinji ikari at work" meiya said, as the watched as the ceremony unfold, sending a wave throughout the entire world and utterly annihilating the BETA in one fell swoop
"beautiful isn't it" she asked
"why does he have such power, what makes this person so special" yui asked
"the unit, provisional evangelion unit-01, was made to only be usable by shinji, he intends to change this but he needed something, he got it from miss sestina, a basic scan of her body, he needed data on her ESPER abilities now that he has it work on what he has dubbed project successor can begin, would you like to join us" meiya asked
"join you" yui asked
"shinji is not from our dimension, he is from a dimension where the enemy was much more powerful but less numerous then our own, forcing the creation of the evangelions, he doesn't intend to return to his dimension that said, he can do so many things with his power, help so many people, weather or not you are with us to see it, will be up to you" meiya said
