Next morning, he moved from Min House to a government-provided residence. Despite his eomma's desperate pleas for him to stay, he remained resolute. His father had been completely consumed by greed, allowing it to blind him to everything else, but he would not let his love be captive in that monster's grip.

As the same evening, they found themselves at Choi Minho's grand mansion, but Minho had mysteriously disappeared before their arrival. Undeterred, he was certain that Minho held crucial information about Beast. So, at the break of dawn, he embarked on a determined journey in his car, resolved to track down Choi Minho, the billionaire with a vast empire of restaurants. It was unthinkable that Minho would surrender one of his prized establishments within a single day.

"Sir, Choi also owns a club just outside the city. I suggest we head there," Inspector Byeon Woo-seok proposed to Hoseok.
"Alright, let's go," Hoseok agreed. With adrenaline surging, they sped off, their mission clear: to ensure that Minho did not slip away from Hoseok's relentless pursuit.

After freshening up, Jungkook changed into a crisp, new outfit and stepped out of the dressing room. His gaze immediately found Taehyung, who sat quietly on the bed, a picture of delicate melancholy. Jungkook's heart softened at the sight, and with a tender smile, he moved closer, the warmth of his presence filling the room as he approached his lost-in-thought lover.

"What are you thinking about, Tae?" Jungkook asked as he approached, his voice warm with a hint of playful mischief. Taehyung quickly wiped his tears and turned his face away, but Jungkook's smile only widened. With a light chuckle, he gently nudged Taehyung's shoulder, his eyes twinkling as he teased, "Are you hiding from me, Piccolino?"

"I think I should fall in love with you," Jungkook whispered tenderly into Taehyung's ear, his voice filled with warmth. He gazed at him with a soft, loving smile, his brown eyes sparkling with mischief and affection.

The words lingered in the air, a shiver ran down Taehyung's spine. His eyes widened with sudden fear, as if haunted by a past torment. His body trembled, gripped by the echoes of past traumas that seemed to resurface with every whispered word.

"P-please... no..." he stammered, retreating from him as his breaths came in ragged gasps, his voice choked by the suffocating weight of his fear.
Jungkook watched in alarm as he seemed to unravel before him, sweat forming on his forehead as he moved away, mumbling incoherently. The sight of his fragile state reminded him of a hollow shell from years past.

"Tae, relax," Jungkook urged, moving swiftly to Teahyung's side and gently cradling his face in his hands. "There's no one here. It's just me." His touch was tender and soothing, a stark contrast to the turmoil in Teahyung's panicked state.

braced for an attack that never materialized, his mind a battleground of lingering fears.

"Mio piccolo, look at me. There's no one here. You're safe now," Jungkook said softly, wiping away Teahyung's tears with his fingers. His voice was a steady anchor amidst the storm of Teahyung's emotions.

Despite his soothing words, Teahyung continue to shake his head, eyes wide with the horror of past traumas. Jungkook's heart ached as he saw Teahyung's raw vulnerability, and a tear slipped down his own eyes, mingling with Teahyung's damp hair.

"There's no one here, Tae. No one will hurt you, Piccolino" Jungkook said, his voice steady but full of concern. He gently drew Teahyung into his embrace, his lips brushing softly against his tear filled eyes. "Come back to me, Come out of this dark night with me." he murmured, trying to anchor Teahyung to the present moment and away from the dark echoes of his past.
