Tweak could not believe what she was hearing. She stared at Kate, with her eyes wide with confusion. Was she telling the truth? Could she really speak to Kwazii - telepathically? If so, how in the world can she? Tweak read stories of people speaking to each other through their minds, but in real life? Things were just getting weirder and weirder by the minute.
As for Kate, she bit her lower lip and let out a sigh. "I was going to tell you tomorrow when Kwazii and I met again. He told me he wanted to see you again and I know you want to talk to him more than anything. He only has about 10 minutes to talk, however. Then the zombie begins to take over, and -"
"Wait," interrupted Tweak. "Are you saying Kwazii is half human, half zombie?"
"I suppose that's what I'm saying. We don't really know how it works," Kate replied. "As I was saying, he has about 10 minutes until the zombie begins to take over. We always speak from 12 p.m. to 12:10. For some unknown reason, at that exact time, he still looks like a zombie, but his brain functions 100% like a human's. I've tried searching the cause of this, but the internet pulled up no results."
Tweak thought for a moment. "And you haven't tried communicating with him at any other time?"
"I can't," Kate said. "I tried and I was nearly turned because of it. He has no control over the zombie. Only between 12 and 12:10, does he have control."
"That's... incredible, Kate!" Tweak was so overjoyed she began to jump up and down and squeal. "I can't wait until tomorrow! So... I can be here tomorrow? When you guys speak again?"
A smile appeared on Kate's face. "Of course!" Tweak squealed with joy and threw her arms around Kate's neck. Kate hugged her back and grinned. It seemed so great to finally see Tweak smiling again.

All of a sudden, there was a knock on the door. Dashi looked in the direction of the door and let out a sigh. People had been wondering why she had been isolating herself. After her argument with Shellington, well - she felt awful! She knew Shellington was right - she deserved to be happy again. He was her one chance of finally regaining that happiness... but she blew it.
"Dashi," a deep voice called from outside the door. "It's me... Look, I know you don't want to talk to me, nor see me. It's not like you ever want to talk to me... But things haven't been the same around here without you, and I - well, I - I miss you, okay? I love you, Dashi. I always have and I always will."
Dashi finally stood to her feet and went to the door. After what seemed like forever, she touched the door handle, turned it, and opened the door to someone. There stood Doctor Wilson, her father. Tears slid down her cheeks and she threw her arms around him. "Daddy," she whimpered.
Doctor Wilson was at first, shocked. But he then pulled his daughter closer to him and smiled. "It's okay... I'm here..." He may not have known what was going on with her, but he still allowed her to cry into his shoulder. Dashi was strong - she hardly ever showed her sensitive side. She only got emotional when it came to the topic of her mother or Michael. A little while later, Dashi stopped her crying and pulled away from the hug. Doctor Wilson held a hand to her cheek and smiled sympathetically. "Are you okay now?"
"I am, thanks," Dashi replied.
"Do you want to tell me what's going on?"
She could not help but giggle. Dashi smirked at her father and rolled her eyes. "Just typical, girly stuff... I had my heart broken and I did what I always do when I'm upset. Isolate myself from the outside world."
A growl escaped from Doctor Wilson's mouth. "Who broke your heart? I'll be sure to give him that talkin' to I used to give to your old boyfriends."
Dashi chuckled. "No, that won't be necessary. I just had a chance to be happy again and I blew it... You know, like I always do... I kept having flashbacks of Michael and I got upset. Someone came along -"
"Shellington," said Doctor Wilson.
Dashi's chocolate brown eyes widened. "How did you -"
"It's quite obvious," interrupted Doctor Wilson, again. "You two always stare at each other. I used to sometimes see him come in here. Lately, I've seen him stand at your door, prepare to knock, but then shake his head and walk away."
"He and I... we somewhat liked each other, I guess you could say. He was in my bedroom one night and he said some... pretty nice things... about me. He then said he could be my chance of seeking happiness again... I turned him down by yelling at him and... father, I feel awful!" Dashi held her head in her hands and Doctor Wilson put an arm around her. "I wish I could just take everything back..." she whispered.
Doctor Wilson smiled at his daughter. " You can, Dashi. You always seem to find a way to fix things." He stood to his feet and kissed the top of her head. "Why don't you come out of your room, dear? Maybe you could make things finally return to normal."
A giggle left Dashi's mouth. "Okay, but only for you... But before we go, do you think I could stop calling you father? I would like it better if I called you... dad. Seems less formal."
He could not help but grin at his daughter. "I would love that, Dashi." With that being said, she stood to her feet. Doctor Wilson put an arm around Dashi and the two exited the bedroom.

Carter Mason glared at his computer in anger. He crossed his arms and a small smirk began to form on his lips. So she's in love with Bjorgman, huh? Well, we'll just have to see about that... He stood from his seat and cleared his throat. "Jonathan!"
Jonathan ran into the room seconds later. "Yes, Carter?" he questioned.
The small smirk upon Carter's lips formed into an evil grin. "Bring me The Chosen One. I have a special job for him. It's about time we woke up The Bloodless."
Author's Note: Aw, yay! Dashi and Doctor Wilson are okay now! I bet all of you are wondering who The Chosen One and The Bloodless are. I'd like to see you guess who you think they are. ;)
You'll actually find out who The Chosen One is next chapter, but The Bloodless you won't know until I introduce another character. ;)
