The next morning, I found myself tight in Rupert grasp. I looked to my side, but I didn't see him. "Rupert?" I called in a wisper. I lift the blanket up, and I find the sleepyhead. His head was resting on a piece of my hair. I gently move it out of the way. His hair was a complete mess. It was absolutely adorable. This was the first time Rupert and I spent the night with each other. I press my lips gently on his. His eyes open. "Morning." He didn't answer and pulled me closer. I lightly chuckle. "We're going to be late for class." I reminded. He didn't say anything. I snuggled closer into his warm chest. "Fine by me." He caressed my back. He slowly pulls himself up. His feet touch the floor. He rubbed his eyes to wake himself up. He looked over at the clock. 8:09am. He stands up and walks away. I leave the bed as well. My dress was creased from sleeping in it last night. My hair looked just as messy. "Here." Rupert called. He throws a pair of clothes. "Just wear these for now." I look over at Elton's bed. Empty. I grabbed the jeans he tossed me. I slipped them on. "It's been forever since I've wore pants." I stated as I lifted them over my waist. My dress is still covering me. I zipped them up. Rupert grabs his stuff and walks out. I slip off the dress and throw that hoodie on. Shoes. I looked at the side of Rupert's bed, and there were my boots. That wouldn't really match the style. Their closet meets my gaze. I bite my nail. It's not stealing if I return them... right? I walk over there. I opened the door and a few shoes were on the floor. I grabbed a pair of Nike shoes. I slipped them on and left the dorm. As expected, Rupert was standing there on his phone, waiting for me. When he hears the door open, he puts his phone away. "My hair is still a mess." I stated and quietly closed the door. He holds up a black rubber band. "I undid your hair last night. I left the rubber band on my wrist." He explained. I take it and throw my hair into a low ponytail. I take his hand, and he leads me to class.

After the first class, Jay, Evie, Mal, and Carlos walked with me to the next one. Rupert had a different class. Some girls wave at Jay. "Jay!" The girls giggle. "Hey, wass up?" Jay says with a charm. "Hi." He waves at another girl. "Why do you torture them?" Carlos asks. "Just pick someone to take to Cotillion already." Carlos states. "I'm going solo."
"That way, I can dance with all of them." Jay explains. "Ah, you're the expert." They chuckle. "Jay, if you were gonna ask someone, what's the best way to go?" Carlos asks him. Jay thinks for a moment. "Listen, all you gotta do," Carlos nods intently. "Is looks like me." Jay finishes. Jay laughs. "Oh, ha-ha." Carlos doesn't find it amusing. "Mal." Jane called. Carlos looked flushed. "Hey, Jane." He greets. "Hey." Jane greeted back. "I was wondering... uh..." Jane waited for him to finish. Carlos looked back at us. "...If you liked the carrot cake last night?" Carlos finally says. Jay looks back at me. He mouths the word, 'smooth'. I press my lips, amused. "I had the pumpkin pie." Jane corrected. "Oh. Cool. Uh, uh..." Jay grabbed his shoulders to get him out of the situation he put himself in. "Smooth." Jay says to him. I follow them as Evie and Mal stay behind. "I just can't bring myself to say it." Carlos confess. I pick up, Dude. "Well, not everyone can be like me." Jay boasts. "Listen, Carlos, Jane is a nice girl. You guys would do great together. You know what you want to say. Just take your time." I tell him. He nods his head. "Thanks, Y/n."
"Happy to help." I stated and gave Dude to him. I turn around and see Elton. He was walking towards us. Jay got my attention. "You coming to watch our practice match?" He shoved his hands in his jacket. I inhale loudly to collect my thoughts. "Sure. Why not?"
"Awesome. Amphitheater at 2."
"Sounds good." We walk into class. I sit as a table; Jay and Carlos sit at their own. Elton walks in and takes the seat in my table.  "Hi, beautiful." I greet. "Hey, gorgeous." He places his backpack down. "Glad to see you're in a better mood since last night." I stated and looked at him. "Well, I was tired. At least I made it to my own bed." He gives me a fake smile. I cross my legs and angle my body to face him. "I mean, where else would have slept? Couldn't be your girlfriend's since you don't have one." He laughs a sarcastic laugh. He looks back at me to say something else, but I interrupt. "Oh, hey, you finally got rid of your unibrow."
"I never had one." He stated coldly. I huffed a laugh. The teacher walked in and started class. Ever since Elton and I met, we have always acted this way. He was a player, just like Jay. We got along fine. I'm not as close to him as I am, Jay, but we could be considered friends. He is truly a handsome person. His brown hair glows in the light. Nice body frame, too. Obliviously, he knows what he looks like and uses it to his advantage, no doubt. A good person, though. The teacher asks me a question, and I zone back into the moment.
