DOOR 007

053 was already open and emptied of assets when Aisha, Oz, and [name] wandered inside. Kei was talking with Emil, speaking quickly and with exaggerated motions. Emil waved him off, a small smile on his face, which Kei didn't seem to care about.

"He's suspicious!" Kei exclaimed, throwing his hands into the air, and then allowing them to fall to his sides. Emil let out a loud laugh at that statement.

"Do ya remember who we are?" He grinned, "none of us are here under great circumstances."

Kei frowned but fell silent after that. Emil was right, and [name] kept reminding themselves of that fact.

They all have done something to be put into prison.

The six of them pushed onto door 054, cringing at the giant, gaping hole that was dead center of the entire room. Each side of the room had a locker, and door 055 sat straight across from the hole. They split into three groups, Oz letting out audible worries that one side would collapse under all their weight.

Nobody wanted to test that theory, but [name] was sure they'd be fine.

Door 055. Opening it led into a small server room, large squares of flashing lights and electrical boxes that [name] didn't understand sat on their left and right. [name] moved to the right, stepping through the gap to search behind it. They found some loose assets in a drawer and stuffed them into the pack behind them.

Someone must've opened door 056 though, because the ker-chunk of the door opening reached their ears, and the lights flashed just moments later, longer than usual. [name] heard the clamoring of footfalls heading into the other room, [name] saw motion nearby, right across from them at the other server box. Ezekiel lowered himself to the ground, tucking his feet in close.

[name] copied his movements, using the other server box closest to the previous door, and hid themselves behind it.

They could hear the very distant roar of the creature that would soon come rushing through the hall. [name] found the noise to be at a standstill like it wasn't going to come through like the usual Angler.

The usual Angler, they thought with an amused, but baffled look, what is the usual around here?

[name]'s heart lurched as a high pitched screaming rushed through the room. Their ears rang, eyes watering at the unexpected noise. A shiver raked through their body as darkness enveloped the room and 056 next door. It was muffled as [name] stood and wiped their eyes, the only thing they could see was the blinking blue and white lights of the server rooms.

"[name]," hearing their name, they jumped, "this way."

Ezekiel's figure was tall, his face reflecting against the flickering lights of the server next to him. Hearing his voice again caused their nerves to loosen, and they smiled; they were glad the lights were out.

They followed him, keeping an eye on the outline of his figure in the dark as the two of them made their way through the door of 056. It was a room just like 055, but there were three doors, all three showing off a 057 on the display.

"There's breathing coming from this one," Aisha's voice came from [name]'s right. Then, there was a flash of light directed at Aisha, and the woman brought up a hand to her eyes to block the light. Emil, the one who cast the light, turned his flashlight down at his feet.

"Sorry," he chuckled, turning the light to the other door, the one on [name]'s left. Though, to their surprised, a dark octopus floated there, and it let out a hollowing noise, and a white face began to glow on the top of its bulbous head. The light flew from Emil's hand as the dark creature flew at him, letting out a screech.
