starlight sam golbach x manon wright chapter 4
A FEW DAYS AFTER MANON'S PARENTS LEFT, she and Sam walked back into their house after an errand run. Manon carried the groceries into the kitchen while Sam carried the last of their decorations upstairs.
When Sam came back down they shared a high five. Finally, after months and months, the house was ready.
Manon cheered and brought him into a hug. "Oh thank god, we did it!"
He laughed, putting his chin on her head. "We did it, we did it."
"Taylor's gonna be so excited!" Manon pulled away and looked around the house. "It looks amazing."
"It really does," Sam went over to their home speaker and Manon's Friends Don't from 2022 started playing. She laughed and rolled her eyes when he offered a hand.
"You're so cliche."
"But you love me."
"Can't deny that."
And so the two began to slow-dance as Manon's own song played in the air - both oblivious to who their neighbours were and what said neighbours could see.
