It was around 9 in the morning when I heard my phone ring from the side of the bed.

- Hey, - I heard familiar voice coming from the other side as I picked up.

- Hi, - I answered and sat up in my bed, rubbing my eyes together before trying to sound at least awake.

- We're going fishing, - Kie said. - Me and the boys. Wanna come? – She added.

- Sure. - I said, surprising myself by being so onboard with the idea.

- Great, - She said. - Be by The Wreck at 11.

- Okay. - I answered. - See you at 11.

- Bye. - I heard her say before hanging the phone up.

I sat in my bed, phone in hand for another 20 minutes, trying to figure out what had happened and since when I was okay with the idea of going fishing. After those 20 minutes passed, I finally gained the courage to get out of bed and stumbled over to the kitchen, towards the first aid in the face of some kind of caffeine.

- Morning. - I said and sat down heavily by the kitchen island.

- Coffee? – My mom asked, motioning towards the pot. I looked up at her with a glare, hinting at my answer. She scoffed at my reaction as she turned around and poured me a cup. – You're up early. – She remarked.

- I'm going fishing, - I said and straightened up in the chair, taking the cup from her hand.

- You're what? – She stressed, looking at me puzzled.

- Fishing, yeah. - I said and took a sip, - With the guys from the party.

- Okay. - she said and looked at me suggestively.

- What? – I asked, not bothering to take my face away from the cup I had it buried in.

- Nothing. - She said, leaning over the counter. - You like them. – She added with a smirk.

- Is that a bad thing? – I asked, narrowing my eyes at her and tried to figuring out what exactly that meant on my own.

- No, no. – She said, shaking her head slightly. – Not at all. I'm just glad you're hanging out with people, that's all.

- That's not making me out pathetic or anything. - I said, looking at her with a glare. - Not at all.

- You know what I mean. - She said before pausing. – Fishing. Really?

- You're the one who dragged me to the island. - I said, still having my face buried in the coffee. - where there is nothing better to do. - I added.

- That's true. – She said. - For now.

- Mom. - I stressed, knowing well that she was hinting at something that I would not like. – Mom? - I asked this time more sternly.

- What? – She looked up at me innocently, not moving the cup from her face.

- Tell me. - I said, glaring at her this time.

- I joined us in a country club. - She said as she rushed past me and entered the common room before taking a seat on the couch.

- Oh, come on, - I nearly shouted, following her into the room with the utmost disgusting look on my face.

- I know, but... - She paused before looking up at me. – Trust me on that one.

- Whatever. - I said, rolling my eyes a bit. I looked at her one more time before falling heavily next to her and rested my head on her shoulder. – Just don't drag me with you every time you go there, okay? – I begged her, looking up at her with pleading look in my eyes.
