The television buzzed, the cold static spewing over the floor in flickering light. Blaring alarms sounded from it's speakers, before the channel shifted, a saturated blue shifted onto the screen.
" We have recently been informed about a new class of alternate that has become increasingly more of a threat. "

" 'Infectors' can be identified by their piercing fangs--and elongated, more animalistic form. These alternates pass on an infection through the venom in their fangs. A single bite is lethal. "
" 'Infected' tend to take the form of a Type One Alternate: Doppelgangers. What differs them from Type Ones are in inclusion of natural fangs, and their origins as a human or animal. "
" We have, as of this broadcast, captured what seems to be an 'Infected'. After various social and physical tests, we have determined that 'Infected' can be reasoned with, unlike the other classes. "
" We ask of you, that, if--rarely-- you encounter a Type Four Alternate, that you attempt to escape. The T.H.I.N.K principle still applies. Do NOT attempt to execute the Type Four unless you are completely sure it will perish. We do not want to aggravate this species, as they can easily overpower their victims. "
The television continued to play the broadcast into the empty nothingness of a dark basement...
