HontiBredo residencesRisa's POV
"Eh, mahal naman. Huwag na kasi magtampo. Hindi naman totoo yun, mga fake news lang po yun and besides, we had our shares of those AU stories, remember? We even used to read it together and laugh at the Wattpad author's imagination. Lika ka na here please, I need your hug na." I said as I try to make lambing kasi nga my wife came across some Twitter hashtags na Guo+Ntiveros daw. Edi pag uwi ko, hindi na ako pinansin.
Leni's been extra clingy nowadays kasi nga I've been away for most days of the week since campaign for elections 2025 started already and I am usually out of town or shooting campaign advertisements with CheKiBam. So, this really bothers me that fake news about Me and Alice have been circulating all over the internet and it's affecting my wife.
"Mahalllll, Sige naaa... Huwag na magtampo sakin, please. Promise, I'll do something to stop it from spreading." I added as Leni still remains quiet while cooking dinner.
--------------------------------------------------
"Pasok kana ng kwarto, matutulog na tayo." Leni said softly as she picks up my plate. Mukhang effective yung pagsuyo ko. HAPPY!
"Hehe, opo mahal. Papasok na po agad. I love you." I smiled, leaned in, and kissed her cheeks.
"Huwag kang ngumiti-ngiti diyan, Theresia. Nagtatampo pa rin ako sa yo, I just love you too much para patulogin ka sa couch knowing how tired you are." Leni replied which made me do a sad, pouty face.
"Love, I'm really sorry na, I promise I'll do my best to get to the bottom of this issue." I said as I continue cleaning our table and went on to get ready for bed.
Leni just gave me a gentle nod and went upstairs to our room, leaving me alone in our kitchen. As I finish washing the dishes, I reached out to my phone to text my executive assistant.
"Good evening, Jane. I know it's late but I need you to tell everyone that we are having an urgent meeting tomorrow morning. Yung venue is my office and yung agenda will be announced tomorrow. Thank you and good night." I sighed as I press 'send'.
Being an active politician can really result to tension headaches because not only do I have to solve with work problems, I also have to deal with the fake news, public opinions, threats, and bashes after work.
I gathered my things and made sure that all our appliances are turned off before I head upstairs to sleep.
"Hey Ate. Are you still awake?" My phone beeped and it was a message from Pia.
"Yes, darling. Why? Are you okay?" I replied instantly, knowing that my sister wouldn't text this late if nothing's bothering her.
"Uhm, aren't I supposed to ask you the same question? Heard from my pamangkins that you and Leni are fighting. You want to talk about it ba?" I let out a deep sigh as I read Pia's reply. Grabi, pati yung mga bata nakakahalata na sa tampohan namin ni Leni or more like sa tampo ni Leni sakin.
"Actually P, it's nothing deep, Leni got mad because she read a tweet about me and Alice. Obviously, it's fake news and gawa-gawa naman ng mga Wattpad writers na hindi busy. Huhu and now, my wife is not even talking to me properly. Panay 'hmm' and short replies lang nakukuha ko. Nakakaiyak." I typed my reply while holding back my tears kasi di ko na talaga kaya na hindi ako kinakausap ni Leni dahil lang sa boysit na Guo+Ntiveros na ito.
"Hay nako Ate, ayusin mo yan. Talk to Ate Leni, let her know that it bothers you too and that your marriage is stronger than that fake news. Eto talagang mga stan accounts, talagang pinagtagpo pa kayong dalawa ng hilaw na Pinoy na yun. Kakadiri naman. I mean, those stans about you and aate Leni before, what was it called nga? Okay lang yun, kasi true naman yun HAHAHA pero eto, OMG! Sana itigil na nila." Pia's reply was correct and I couldn't agree more.
