Chapter 15: Incident

Hours Later...

3rd Person

The scene opened up in the sky, where the blizzard was still blown away as the camera aimed downward toward the ground while the corpse spire was seen nearby.

We heard the sound of rumbling until a dropship went past the corpse spire and over the city.

Inside, we saw Flynt, Grigor, and Carys as they explained their adventures, the horrors they have seen, and Flynt fought different enemies that the 2 newcomers had never faced.

"When Plan B was vulnerable by the high-pitched sounds, his core opened up!" Flynt told as he grinned. "I rushed in, ripped his face off to blind him, then ripped his core out and crushed it with my bare hands. After that, I quoted from Optimus Prime, 'I rise... you fall' as Plan B melted into goo! And that's how Captain Steel and the mercenaries in his outpost, including the refugees, join the Lost Sanctuary."

Uzi gave an evil grin as she said, "Hearing that story of you being a badass is not great until you see it for yourself."

"That's so awesome, sir!!" BLU Soldier said in awe as he gazed up at the conduit with respect and praise. Commander Soldier is right about you! You're awesome!"

Sitting beside Nick, Pyro clapped happily, "That sounds so amazing! I bet Nicky helped, too, right?"

"Well, all I did was save some drones from getting out of the way," Nick said with a smile.

"Nick, saving innocent drones is important. I'm glad that you came to back me up," Flynt said as he and Nick fist-bumped.

"That sounds so awesome and heroic!" Pyro exclaimed with awe, and she hugged him excitedly as her blue neon eyes gazed up at the Disassembly Drone. "You sound like a hero, Nicky! It's a shame that none of the Mercenary Drones see that on you!"

Nick blushed a bit as he noticed Uzi and Flynt giving them a smug look.

However, Spy spoke up when he mentioned the story about Eldritch J.

"Pardon me, but you mentioned the story about this... Eldritch J?" Spy asked them, looking at them curiously, "Last I recall, when we were in the Big Empty, you mentioned that Murder Drones are capable of turning into... Eldritch abominations?"

"Yeah," Flynt said, clearing his throat. "2 days after I arrived on Copper 9, myself, Uzi, and Nick fought Violet and J in the colony to save them. While Nick fought Violet and J disabled Uzi and my gas mask, I had my right arm cut off. Before J tried to kill me, I stabbed her heel with her tail and used Uzi's Sick As Hell Railgun and disintegrated the upper half of her body until I passed out from the toxic air and blood loss."

"That made Uzi and myself really worried," Nick said, which he and Uzi remembered what had happened as back then, they would stay by his side until he woke up.

"No doubt a very harrowing experience; I don't blame you." Spy said as he respectfully nodded at Flynt, "Yet you live. Now that I can respect. You truly proved yourself to be very stubborn and resilient. Very much like Team Fortress."

"Hell yeah, we are! We're tough and resilient!" Scout says proudly.

"And stubborn!" Pyro added a moment later.

"Yes, yes." Spy waved it off as he refocused on Flynt, "And as for the Eldritch J, you mentioned? What happened?"

"Well, After meeting LD, HAMMER, and then discovering the Proto Drones, Thad came to us and told us that J's body crawled away. We went to investigate, thanks to Nick's child art skills that convinced Ron, the door guard, to let us in. After discovering the Absolute Solver logo, we were met with Eldritch J and... and..."
