Darkness an endless void of space, nothing to see nor feel for miles on end, let alone around ones own body. The lids of my eyes hung tightly, as if they had been frozen shut for as long as I could remember. The only sensations around my stiff body, was the hairs standing on my skin, prickling with adrenaline. A sudden jolt of electricity entered my spine, shoving me even more into the empty abyss.

A soft voice crept through the small cracks that the darkness hadn't consumed with its filthy maw, it spoke ever so diligently. "Artemis?" The masculine voice came closer, "Artemis, you need to wake up." Hands wrapped around my shoulders and gripped me from the deep void-like water, pulling me into a bright humming light. My eyes flinched behind the lids that peeled back and let the light pour into my retinas. The man's hands had been removed from my slim shoulders as my eyes adjusted to the small cylindrical room that held me. My sight fell on the young male in front of me, his face looked up at me as my body was held to a sliding wall, pins holding my arms and legs in place.

"Artemis? My name is Uiju, Jeremy Uiju. Can you speak?" He questioned, his ruffled brow raised with hesitation, I could tell he was scared, but scared of what?

"U-.." I tried speaking, but it felt like there was a log stuck into my throat causing me to seize up.

"Slowly, you're body isn't fully..." He paused for only a moment before continuing, "operational." My face contorted with confusion, none of his words were sticking, what did he mean operational?
