Your hand reaches up to your earpiece, till a familiar voice on the other end intervenes
"Y/N, THERES A KAIJU BESIDE YOU !" You roll your eyes at the first division captain idiotic joke
"Very funny, Narumi." The man suddenly appeared beside you mid-air, as if he teleported making you chuckle slightly
"It was funny enough to earn a chuckle from you." You raised a eyebrow as he inches his face dangerously close, his eyes seemingly lost in yours, while his hand shifted onto your respirator mask, removing it from your face with his eyes still locked onto yours
"I sometimes forget your a Kaiju killing machine." Narumi smiled at his own remark watching you take a deep breath without the mask
"Why is that ?" You boldly return his same energy as he let out a sly smile

"Actually zip that big mouth of yours on that thought, are you done killing the Kaiju's on your side ?"

You couldn't help but slightly laugh at the odd gesture, before noticing the drones flying above
"Narumi stop there's cameras watching." You nudge his shoulder, while whispering in his ear, evidently holding in your laugh
"Good, everyone can see how verbally abusive you are." Narumi jokingly whispered back standing straight again

"You just told THE captain, THE strongest soldier on the defense force to zip his mouth, you just told your CAPTAIN to shut the hell up." Narumi purposely emphasizing certain words while whispering the rest in a lower tone
You stood still, blinking a few times before walking away
"W-WHERE ARE YOU GOING ?!" Narumi yelled, eyes following the female first division captain
"You stay away from me." You pointed your index finger, making the male come to a halt from continuing to follow you

You slapped a hand on your face wondering if the man even understood a single word you said before glancing back up, immediately taking notice of a honju silently approaching behind Narumi
"Narumi, there's a honju behind you !" You yelled out, however Narumi rolled his eyes mimicking your actions from prior

"I'm not lying !" Despite your clarification, your announcement didn't seem to faze the first division captain as his eyes remained on your distant figure
You knew you wouldn't reach the stubborn man in time if you charged at the honju now, you had to come up with a way to make him look back
Suddenly you felt a lightbulb light up above you head, coming up with a random idea
"Gosh, that man behind you has to be the finest-" Narumi eyes instantly furrowed before you could finish your sentence, breaking his neck to follow your gaze, now noticing the honju raising its arm, before swinging his bayonet, slashing through the monster as you took in the scenery, for some odd reason he always looked quite attractive killing Kaiju's
Once the honju body hit the ground, Narumi began to hear your little snickers
Narumi glared at you with a hint of red dusting his cheeks, before averting his gaze from you as your snickers escalated to a whole hearted laughter
You laughed with your hands now on your knees, processing that deadly look in his eyes before swiftly following your gaze, it seemed like he'd rather kill the poor nonexistent man, than the honju he's was already suppose to kill centuries ago
Man his jealousy couldn't be anymore evident
"Ah, I'm sorry, but I'll take note to say that next time since that catches your attention better." You deeply exhaled with a smile, walking up to the man who was now purposely avoiding your eyes
You wondered why the man was irritated at the fact you just saved his wellbeing, but that's just Narumi
Before you could do anything else the sound of heavy footsteps intervened, echoing through the air, becoming louder by the second
"I'll take that as the honju's in your area you didn't kill ?" Narumi decided to stand on business, ignoring your question despite the situation of his surroundings
You narrowed your eyes, glancing up at him, while your lips reached up by his ear
"How about, I'll let you kiss me." Your whisper made his body shiver, his widen eyes finally meeting yours, his eyes lock on yours before shifting down, glancing at your lips
"But only after we kill the honju's YOU were supposed to kill." You announced receiving a cocky smirk in response, the two of you maintaining strong contact before the sensation of something being placed over your mouth made you remove your eyes from his, now realizing Narumi placing your respirator mask back over your lower face
You smiled at the man genuine gesture, before it was interrupted by him suddenly stabbing his bayonet into the dirt ground
You wondered what the fuck was he doing now as he removed his jacket

"What are you- ?" The man stepped behind you as you spoke, with his combat jacket in hand, placing it on your shoulders, holding the jacket as your arms filled up the sleeves
"You've been shivering, I know you're cold." You were a bit taken back by the captain words, as you didn't even notice yourself
"Now, then." Narumi declared while now facing the multiple honju's that were distant momentarily ago, you unsheathed your blades just when Narumi took hold of his bayonet once again
Narumi shut his red colored orbs, before revealing his now bright green eyes, as his pupils were now slitted like a cats
You gave a boy a puzzled look, before the two of you were now back to back taking stance
"The Kaiju's aren't even that strong." You remarked at Narumi as he only uses his Kaiju abilities in serious situations
"I know, I'm just gonna speed things up, to take your amazing opportunity as fast as I can." Narumi replied with a grin before swiftly charging ahead
